Lovely gardens, quaint accommodation, could use a spruce up,nice views of Lake Taupo quite noisy as on busy road a bit expensive for what it was

The room had its own private spa, a good facility but difficult to get in and out of as it is recessed. We didn't like the bedrooms being upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. Otherwise it was comfortable.

The location was ideal since we had our bicycles. Really nice and close to the lake front trail and nice easy parking in the back. The Hot Mineral bath was nice after a days ride.

Loved the space in our 2bdm Room really loved having a tv in the lounge & main bedroom. By far the mineral pool was a highlight all my boys and myself loved it thank you

Love the private mineral pools, the reason why we choose to stay here when in Taupo… so relaxing. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Also love the garden, very cute.

Beautiful property. Off street parking but a bit tricky to park as quite narrow. Lovely owner, spa nice and hot.

The upstairs floors were very very noisy and only a small heater for downstairs. Tha bathroom shower head needed a replacement but the facilities were spotless

The gentleman who runs this property is a lovely man. He is kind and helpful. Unfortunately the motel is very run down and did not look like the photos shown on the webpage. We found many things in disrepair in the unit including the oven/dishwasher but the one main concern was the safety of the hot water when showering.The water run’s suddenly extremely hot ( dangerously so) then cold within seconds.

The property had very nice gardens and was just a short drive to downtown. The host was very attentive and very thorough, in showing us all the amenities. Very easy Check-In & Check-out. I would recommend the Phoenix Resort.

Delightful
Great place to stay near town centre. Room was well appointed but as we were at the far end of the resort, Wifi was limited but not the end of the world. Lots of facilities to use if we had the time.

Good location, nice Rose Garden, the bedroom is upstairs and the downstairs is living area. The stairs are very steep not easy for older people.

Unique and nice
Lovely owner, great room upstairs but tight and small downstairs especially when sofa bed is used. Thermal spa was shut down before we had a chance to use it. After a complaint they refunded a small amount back which was much appreciated. Too bright to sleep downstairs but upstairs was most pleasant.

Cute property with lovely rose gardens - super clean and tidy everything! Busy doing some renovations but ones that don’t impact your stay. Lovely helpful staff. Keep up the great work, we would stay again especially for the large mineral pool in our unit! It fitted all 5 of us! Thanks team Phoenix

wobderful place
beautiful 2 story room amazing hot tub with natural hot springs water, fantastic view of the lake from 2nd floor balcony. large common backyard with trampoline. kids love it! only downside is at a major traffic intersection so could be a concern if you are sensitive to noise.

The staff were super friendly, room was cosy, had everything we needed and the bed very comfortable. The thermal spa was our highlight.. so nice to relax in. Perfect for out weekend getaway. Definitely looking at staying again.

We were so impressed with this wonderful accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and the shower pressure was INCREDIBLE!!! The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and all of the beds were very comfortable. We’ve stayed in Taupo many times over the years but the Phoenix will always be our first choice from now on.

It's a great place to call home for a few days. Well equipped for just staying in and relaxing. Full kitchen, complimentary DIY laundry and spacious. Staff are lovely and the garden is stunning. The private mineral pools are hot and private. Delightful!
