Te Wharepuni is only a short walk from the golden sands of Tata Beach. Grab the beach bag and take the nearby walkway for a long stretch of sand and a safe swimming spot. If you fancy an adventure on the water, visit Golden Bay Kayaks for a guided paddling experience or simple gear hire.

If you need to top up on basic supplies, the Pohara General Store is just a seven-minute drive away. If you need a little bit more than that, and your barista coffee fix, the town of Takaka is no more than 20 minutes away.
