You'll find yourself surrounded by local life, with the main market square, Djemaa el-Fna, usually just a short walk away. This area is great for travellers who enjoy exploring on foot and experiencing the local culture first-hand.For couples seeking a romantic and private retreat, staying in a riad within the medina can be wonderful. These traditional Moroccan homes, often with inner courtyards and rooftop terraces, offer a peaceful escape from the bustling streets while still being close to attractions like the Bahia Palace or the Ben Youssef Madrasa. Many riads also offer cooking classes or spa treatments.Alternatively, for those who prefer modern amenities and easier vehicle access, the Hivernage district, just outside the medina walls, is an excellent choice. This area is known for its wider avenues, contemporary hotels, and a more relaxed pace.
