Fly-fishing is possible just 5 mins where the hydro stations are. In the early morning, you will see the Eagles soaring above the river. The rooms in the scholars house are really nice and look newly renovated.

I’d read a few poor reviews of the Derwent Bridge Chalets & Accommodation, and they turned out to be totally unfounded. We stayed in a Narcissus Studio and it was very comfortable. I didn’t expect the room to have a microwave and toaster (they weren’t specified) so we were able to make breakfast. ...

You must take provisions as the village is remote & there are no retail outlets. Just take everything you need so you are not caught short. Then enjoy the serenity & experience.
