STVR permit# STR 2018-00011
Traditional Taos home built by Pueblo builders for renowned Taos artist Charles Reynolds and his wife Ruth. Home is furnished with original antiques and paintings from the era. It is located on a quiet tree lined street, walking distance from Kit Carson Park, historic Taos Plaza, and many galleries and restaurants. The large, shady front porch is perfect for an outdoor meal, and the Pueblo of Taos, oldest inhabited village in North America, is less than two miles away. The world class ski resort of Taos Ski Valley is a twenty minute drive north, and the spectacular Rio Grande Gorge, with whitewater rafting, fly-fishing and hot springs, is even closer. Come immerse yourself in the real Taos, with it's amazing natural beauty and it's unique cultural influence, unlike anywhere in the USA. The larger side has two bedrooms and a day bed in the living room, and one twin in its own cubby, and one full bath. Sleeps five guests maximum. Prices listed are for the larger side of the duplex. If more space is needed please let me know. Likewise, if your group is small you may want the smaller apartment. Please take a look at VRBO #969436 to see the other side of this duplex. It has one bedroom with a queen size bed, and two twin beds. It sleeps four comfortably. For larger parties of up to nine the entire home can be rented. Please take note, this house has a unique architecture which includes steps and low doorways in a couple of areas. There is signage to warn of this, but tall people must use caution.

We love this Taos House. This was our third year to stay here. Location. Location. Location. Easy to walk to restaurants and galleries. We are looking forward to next year. Laura the owner is wonderful and easy to work with.
We loved our stay in Unit A. Such a beautiful home. The manager was very responsive when we had a question about the t.v. Check in was a breeze. Highly recommend this rental - we will be back!
This beautiful home was perfectly located and a rare opportunity to stay in an authentic Taos adobe. The accommodations are very comfortable, and the home was spotless. Beautiful experience!
Staying at this authentic, historic property was such a treat, like staying in a mini museum. We were really immersed in the Southwest vibe. The kitchen was adequately supplied and a washer and drier on site was very convenient. Great location for walking to restaurants, shops and a museum, yet on a quiet side street. If we visited Taos again, we'd stay again in a heartbeat!
Just a perfect house to stay in Taos if you want to get the local vibe of adobe homes plus comfort. This house is beautifully furnished with great local art and furniture. The kitchen is not a gourmet”s dream but has all that you need if you choose to cook. Local restaurants are so good you may not bother to cook.
The Southwestern feel and beautiful interior make you feel right at home. The art work and decor is perfect! The house and exterior fenced back yard are excellently maintained with beautiful flowers and vines. Loved that patio for breakfast and sitting outside at night. Location is great for walking into Taos downtown and art community.
We will be back!
This clean and quirky traditional style house is full of original art and cozy furnishings. Right off the main street, yet amazingly quiet. If you can pull yourself away from the house, you are within walking distance of everything downtown Taos has to offer. Barely over a mile in the other direction to Taos Pueblo. Very responsive host. wonderful to visit any time of the year.
Wonderful stay in a beautiful property with all the comforts of home. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. We loved that it was on a quiet street, yet it was within walking distance of the town square and many local popular restaurants. We didn’t have any pets with us but this would be a great place if you are traveling with a dog, because of the nice enclosed front and back yard. If you appreciate staying in an authentic 1950s adobe home, this property will not disappoint. We really hated to leave and will come back in the future when exploring Taos, Santa Fe and Ghost Ranch. 💙💙💙
Lovely older home within walking distance to The Plaza.
This was a very clean, comfortable home near the main plaza of Taos. Three grown women stayed comfortably in the house. The kitchen was nicely equiped. Only having one bath was a bit if a challenge, but we made it work. Only suggestion would be to put power strips near the beds in the two bedrooms. The plugs have not been updated so finding one that works to have a phone nearby would be helpful. Also since there is only one bathroom it would help so hair dryers, etc. could be used in bedrooms when mutiple women are staying there and they need to get ready. Overall, lovely place.
Very charming, cozy, and clean adobe within walking distance to multiple restaurants and town. The host was very accommodating and check in and out was a breeze. On a quiet street a block or two from a good burger, a cold beer, or breakfast. Definitely would book again if I was back in Taos.
We enjoyed our stay here. This is a spacious old adobe home with lots of character, almost entirely furnished with antiques.. The one qualification to that statement is that the single bathroom is quite small but still functional.
We enjoyed staying in this beautiful historic home filled with character and lovely artwork. Great location to walk or a short drive to restaurants and shops.
The quaint adobe filled with amazing art was a great place to stay while attending a watercolor workshop in Taos. It felt very cozy and it was great to feel connected to the artist Charles Reynolds, who built the home.
