Residence Schuler Apartment "The Penthouse" with sea and Mount Etna view

This apartment for 4 persons has a size of 96 square meters (1.033 sq. ft.) and a terrace of 36 square meters (388 sq. ft.). It consists of: 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room and a terrace over viewing the sea and Mt. Etna. It is provided with washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven and microwave oven, satellite TV, safe, telephone, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, ironing equipment, hairdryer, coffee maker and toaster. Table, chairs and sunbeds are on the terrace.
Baby coat and baby chair are available on request.
The Penthouse and the other 5 apartments of the Residence are located on a small hill in a residential area in Taormina, only 4 minutes walking distance from central Corso Umberto (pedestrian area of Taormina), and 3 minutes only from the supermarket and the nearest restaurants.
Taxi service also available on request from or to Catania airport with a Minivan for maximum 5 persons 120.00 Euro.
Parking Information:
Inside of the Residence we have a small parking area for 2 cars and on request a space can be reserved at the price of 10 Euro a day, otherwise is possible to park in the 24/7 municipal multi-storey car park of Porta Catania which is located just before the entrance of Taormina and at a 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment. Due the narrow roads of Taormina and our own small parking area, for clients arriving with big cars we suggest this last solution.
I live in one apartment of the Residence, I will be here on your arrival and during your stay I will be always available for information’s and any kind of assistance

Our five day stay at the Residence Schuler was the highlight of our two weeks in Italy and Sicily. It was super clean, well equipped and perfect for two "couples" with two separate bathrooms. Claudio, our host, was very helpful with arranging transportation for us to and from Cantania airport. The apartment has a panoramic million dollar view of Mt. Etna and the sea. It is very convenient to the market as well as downtown Taormina and restaurants. But we enjoyed the apartment so much it was tempting to just relax on the terrace and enjoy the view. Beautiful apartment with amazing views!

The Penthouse at Residence Schuler is truly a gem and I highly recommend staying there if you are traveling to Taormina. The views from the terrace are breathtaking. The apartment is beautifully furnished and clean, and it’s in a great location. Shops, restaurants, and grocery store all within a very short walk. And Claudio, the host, is always available if you need him. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

5 Day Visit to Taormina

The flat was lovely, well stocked with all necessities and perfect for two couples. The terrace however made our holiday very special. Spacious terrace with amazing views of both the sea and Mount Etna. We had sunny skies for most of our stay and we could not get enough of Both the sea and Etna….the unusual smoke rings were evident several times. The city sites were also very close by. We definitely recommend this property!

This apartment is in a great location for those who want a fabulous view, closeness to the main part of town and don’t want a hotel but a home. We had a rental car and for a small extra fee they provided parking. This is important since parking In Taormina is difficult.

Beautiful apartment in Taormina

We stayed in "The Penthouse" at Residence Schuler for three nights. It was a great place to stay as it was very clean, had amazing views on the terrace and was only a 5 minute walk from Porta Catania - one of the main entrances to the main street Corso Umberto. Claudio is very attentive and ready to help as he lives in the building. We parked in the parking garage Parcheggio Porta Catania and walked up the hill to the apartment - a bit of a climb with luggage. This is definitely a great place to stay when you visit Taormina.

Fabulous Views of Mt. Etna and Sea

We stayed in The Penthouse apartment for 30 days. It has stunning views and was bright, clean, spacious and well supplied. Claudio, our host, lives on site and was very responsive without being intrusive. An exceptional feature was a weekly cleaning service, not usually offered at other places we’ve stayed. The location is up a hill outside Porto Catania, close to a local market - we liked the walk into town and back, but for some, the climb up over 60 steps might be hard. It’s a vertical town, so steps are not uncommon. The furnishings were slightly different than in the pictures with a couch and one armchair in the living room. A second armchair would make for a more inviting space for 4. We’d also have welcomed an end table, a table lamp or two and an led light for the terrace. But these are minor details, and largely a matter of personal preference. All in all, we had a fabulous stay and would happily return. Thank you, Claudio!

A Home Away from Home

My husband and a friend stayed in The Penthouse Unit for 4 nights in February ‘25. This was a very spacious, very well equipped, very clean apartment with an incredible view. We are from Canada, not ised to narrow Nd winding roads, so the drive up to the apartment was exciting and breathtakingly beautiful. Claudio’s directions were very helpful. Our car was an Opal Corsa and I certainly would not have wanted a larger vehicle in Taormina. Parking on site was secure and I would recommend reserving a spot if you have a small car and are not afraid of driving up the hill. The kitchen was complete - you certainly could cook in it - sharp knives, a salad spinner, cheese grater and multiple plate services. The best equipped kitchen I have encountered in 9 trips to Italy. There was even a jug of distilled water for the iron. Beds were firm but comfortable with good quality linens. The bathrooms, one ensuite, one across the hall from the other bedroom, were a very good size. The showers had a hand held sprayer which could be fixed to a pole - good water pressure and no lack of hot water. There is a safe. Incredible terraces with unobstructed views of Mount Etna and the sea. I would highly recommend this rental and would love to return for an extended stay if the opportunity arose. Thank you Claudio.
