"Our #1 choice when in College Station. Clean rooms, great vibe and decor. We’ve stayed here several times and it’s always a good time with a solid night of sleep. Only con, if you book through a third party such as Expedia, they will go out of their way to remind you you’ve booked with a third party. The rooms they reserve for you are not as well located as they would be when booking directly with The George. This last stay they must have mentioned that we booked with a third party at least three times and placed us in the very last room, furthest from the elevator, and next to a room where they were doing loud repairs. You could hear restoration fans? blowing throughout the night and the work crew during the day. Fortunately, it was only for one night. "

"Cannot say enough good things about this gem of a house and the owners. We booked it for my daughter’s ring dunk and are so thankful we did! We’re already booking for graduation next year! It’s super close to campus and grocery stores. All of the fixtures and amenities are top notch; looks like it’s been renovated recently. There were lots of different sleeping options (blowup beds, pull out sofas, etc) so it was perfect for my family and friends and the game room was amazing! Pool table, Arcade Basketball, Pac-Man/Galaga, foosball, tons of board games; it’s an entertainment dream!!Jenae made everything so clear and easy for us too. You must hurry and book now!!! (But not during 2026 May graduation cause it’s ours!)"

"The hotel, staff and breakfast were great! The parking garage is for smaller cars. The entrance says 8’ but once you get inside it is actually 6’8” with nowhere to turn around and get back out."

"Exceptionally clean and spacious. Lovely neighborhood. Great backyard and hot tub! Host was great at pre-, during, and after stay communications. All the bedrooms and bathrooms worked great for us. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it was nicely appointed and stocked. We wanted to book this house for another game day weekend but it was already booked. I can certainly see why…will try this just again. "

"“The Rustic Retreat” is an amazing place to place to stay. The owners are very quick to respond when we had an issue with the key pad. The house was clean and the decor is super cute. The house has all the necessary items plus some. Plenty of nice bath towels. The backyard it awesome! Horseshoe setup, fire pit and lounging areas. You will not go wrong staying at “The Rustic Retreat”. "
