Beautiful home. Terrible neighborhood
The Description "Chic Retreat-Cozy Design" was spot on.The house is on the smaller side (although it does have 3 spacious bedrooms) but exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed. It had everything you need and items were neat and organized. The back patio has a nice wood burning fire pit. I do think they should mention that you need to bring wood. The neighborhood was pretty awful. two homeless parks/gatherings at both ends of the street. We thought we had the wrong location. You do not feel safe walking the neighborhood even though they said you could walk to some locations. We almost turned around but decided to at least see the home and make a final decision. Our adult children joined us and we felt the need to warn them in advance of the neighborhood. Boarded up homes and buildings surround the street. The green house on the corner when you enter looks like it should be condemned. Two doors down was a constant gathering of homeless people that kept a fire going in a trash can on the street. I'm sure they are harmless but we had some concerns about our vehicles overnight. That being said, we had a truck and an SUV and only one vehicle can fit in the driveway unless it's two small cars.Our kids were gracious but I couldn't apologize enough for unknowingly booking in a neighborhood in that condition. We really enjoy daily/evening walks but didn't feel comfortable doing that. I do think they are trying to "resurrect" that area but it still needs time.
