Relaxing stay in Paradise

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s located right on the beach, a short walk from all the Tamarindo action. We enjoyed the pool, and the outdoor areas. The beds were comfortable, and we loved the outdoor shower. We are counting down the days until we can return!

We loved our visit. The beach was amazing and the water was so warm. The house needs little tender loving care, easy stuff replace light bulbs, fix fan repair slip covers on chairs.The handy man was available, but we had to call for repairs. No hot water in master bedroom shower. Little details, however the time was perfect and the local restaurants were excellent.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location.

The property was wonderful, and had everything our group needed to have a lovely week in Tamarindo. The proximity to the beach and town made it super convenient and the views at sunset were stunning. Will definitely be staying here again in the future. We spent most of our time in the common spaces and were able to spend time cooking and eating together both inside and outside.

Fantastic Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time in Tamarindo. Casa Blue Lagoon is an ideal location right on the beach! Numerous restaurants within walking distance…especially nice to hit a Happy Hour right on the beach. Restaurants here do charge a 23% surcharge and be careful about exchange rates and not being overcharged on 2 for 1 drink specials. Beautiful location for rest relaxation and beach activities.

Beachfront fun

We were in Costa Rica to have fun time prior to the rush of Christmas. Blue Lagoon is a great spot with an ideal location between downtown Tamarindo and Langosta. Several of the better restaurants are very close and yet is still feels private and a little removed from the hustle of Tamarindo.

Location couldn’t be better. Right on the beach. Walking distance to everything in town. Plenty of off the street parking behind an automated gate. Big bedrooms. Big kitchen. AC, pool, towels, washer/dryer. Would definitely stay again.

great location

The location was great. Steps to a beautiful beach and short walk or quick ride in golf cart to town. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and loved the markets. Jonathan our host was always available for questions or concerns and was promt with responses. The house itself needs a little care and we had an ant problem the whole time even though Jonathan was attentive to it. I would not stay there with small children due to it being 2 seperate buildings. All in all it was a nice vacation and Costa Rica is beautiful. Loved the monkeys!

Absolutely AMAZING!

We stayed at Casa Blue Lagoon for nine days, and it was absolutely magical. The houses are beautiful, and it is right in front of the beach. It is very close to town, so you can go on long walks either by the beach or by the street. Our property manager, Jonathan, was very responsive and available whenever we had questions or needed something. We will absolutely be back!

Family trip

Had a small issue with communication prior to stay but once we engaged via WhatsApp, Jonathan was very responsive. He assisted in getting us groceries and a golf cart. House was as pictured. We stayed in June so be prepared for bugs and rain. Location is fantastic. Easier to walk into town along beach then by road/golf cart. Would stay here again.

Excellent week in Tamarindo

Awesome location , ON the beach , walkable to restaurants and supermarkets. Jonathan was highly responsive to a few maintenance issues that he quickly dealt with. 1 unfortunate part that we weren't aware of is that the property directly next to this one is under construction so there were sounds of light building work (hammering, grinders,workers) from about 6:30am till 5pm.

Casa Blue Lagoon Rocks

This property is amazing and made our vacation experience very special! Jonathan was very helpful and responsive! My wife and I stayed along with our son and his girlfriend. The property was inviting for its size. You are right on the beach and can just walk out to swim or surf. The mid part of Tamarindo is a 10 min walk on the beach. I would recommend this house as a great vacation destination to anyone! We plan on staying there again. Pura Vida!

Fantastic time in Tamarindo with Family

Property worked out really well for us. Beautiful property with visits from many different animals. Howler monkeys, smaller monkeys, parrots large and small, iguana's. Many varied birds. Family loved it. Cool breezes. We had adult children and grand daughter so separate quarters worked out well for us. offered lots of privacy for my adult children. Large fully gated and walled property with jungle type garden settings. Jonathan property manager took care of our every need. He is a great guy and very helpful.Responds instantly to any needs. Highly recommend this place. Would stay again.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Lagoon. As others have mentioned before, there are two houses on the property so if you have young children it's probably not the best place to stay. Jonathan, the house manager, was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. We rented surfboards for the week which was perfect since we could walk out our gate and be right on the beach. One other thing to note...the master shower is outdoors. It wasn't a huge deal but after a long day on the beach and in the sun, I would have preferred to shower inside. Overall a very nice property.

Paradise

Overall the property was as advertised. Located right on the Playa Tamarindo beach and by very swimmable waters and within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The howler and squirrel monkeys hung out in the trees with iguanas, birds and yea even a snake :). The pool was a refreshing reprieve. The homes are very well maintained. We communicated with Jonathan who was very responsive to our requests. Would highly recommend this property.

The Perfect Vibe

This place is spot on from the moment they meet you at the gate. A short walk into town with a supermarket 1/2 block away. You feel like you have your own compound. Wonderful view from the covered veranda... and the wildlife in the trees is fun to watch. We absolutely loved every bit of this large property. Note that 2 of the large bedrooms are towards the back of the property so you'll need to flip a coin to see who stays beachside but I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to book it again. Pura Vida indeed.

Amazing Property

This property is really beautiful and is great accommodations, especially for adults. But be aware that it is set up as two different buildings, so might not be great if you have little kids. The Managers, both Daniel and Jonathan were very helpful with anything we needed. It is right on the beach, and it is a nice beach with good waves. We played paddle ball on the beach, and boogie boarded. There is a lot of restaurants and bars very close, you can easily walk. We utilized the option of the golf cart, which made it really easy to get around. We did have a few problems, but Jonathan was diligent in trying to take care of our issues. We would stay here again.

Beautiful property, great location

Overall we loved the property. Right in the beach which made morning beach walks so easy. The area and the houses were well laid out and roomy. The outside area was lush with trees and pretty plants. We even got to see monkeys and colorful crabs and birds and lizards. On the downside we had issues with a couple appliances; the coffee maker didn’t work (replaced after a couple days) and the dishwasher broke mid way thru our stay so we hand washed the dishes for a few days. Also neither the kayak or paddle boards were there. Despite the few negatives we enjoyed our stay at Blue Lagoon very much and would recommend it to friends. Originally we were worried because it was the beginning of rainy season and the forecast showed high rain chances every day. Turns out we had a little rain the first day while the rest of the week was very nice. Seems that most of the rain avoids that immediate area.

Unbelievable location

If you want to stay on the beach, we don't know of a better way. This place was fantastic for giving immediate access to being on the beach and being surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. We were told that howler monkeys were often around, but we didn't see any during our time. Johnathan was our primary point of contact. He was attentive to any needs that we had. He helped set up surfing lessons for our entire family. We met the instructors right the back door and walked on to the beach for our lessons. Johnathan stayed around and took pictures and videos of us surfing that he shared with us (we wouldn't have had any otherwise). There are golf carts available for an extra fee. We found them useful for going into town and could park more easily than with our vehicle.

Excellent location and property (unless you have small kids)

This property is fantastic for many guests. The location, security, pool, and beach access are among the best in Tamarindo. **Note for Families with Young Children:** The three bedrooms are in separate buildings. The main house has one bedroom, while the second house has two bedrooms: one on the first floor and one on the second floor, with only outdoor access between them. There are no indoor stairs, and no bedroom can be reached from within any building. While adults might not mind this, this setup is not ideal for young children who might need to reach parents at night. Our kids are 6 and 8 years old and typically would sleep in their own bedrooms. However, because we did not feel comfortable with them having to go outside if they needed to reach us, my wife and I each slept with a child. It wasn't a major issue, but sleeping with my wife on vacation is way more ideal then sleeping with my 6 year old...

Loved the location !

I think it is rare to find a private home that is right on the beach in Tamarindo. We enjoyed walking out to the small beach break surf with our boards & the cool breezes that allowed us to hang outside on the beautiful patio without feeling sweltering hot or getting eaten by mosquitos. We also loved seeing the huge iguana who lived in the yard & the monkeys who would come by on a daily basis! The main house closest to the beach has one beautiful master bedroom & bath with ocean views upstairs and a main kitchen/ living room downstairs with a great deck/pool area to lounge around on. The other guest building is set back near the entrance to the property and has two bedrooms ( one on ground level) and a living room, deck, & kitchen. AC worked great in all units. We did rent a golf cart which was essential as we had grandma & grandpa who found the 15min. Walk to town too much, especially in the heat. The walk along the beach to some restaurants was nice though & doable. There is also a cafe to get coffee very close by - it is in the same building as the Sofia restaurant. Took us a few days to discover that, so thought I would mention it! Jonathon was very responsive when we needed something & Daniel the manager gave us a ride to the airport & went out of his way ( to say the least) to get us to our flight on time, despite a major traffic jam. We are very grateful for our time spent at Casa Blue Lagoon. It is a special property that felt private & safe.
