"The room was beautiful and clean. The double bed was very comfortable. The staff were really nice and friendly. Lighting in the room was great and the thermostat worked well and heated the room very quickly. The bathroom was clean and always had nice heavy towels with that fancy hotel feel. Remember to bring an F9 adaptor to power your laptop and charge your electronics...the power outlets won't work with North American power chords. They put out a little breakfast every morning. I'm used to a Canadian style breakfast with eggs and bacon, toast ect. This was a much more healthy breakfast with waldorf salad, olives, cheese's, hard boiled eggs cut in half, Halva, rice pudding (really good), breads and cakes, beans and dolmas.It was really good and I really enjoyed it each morning. They have coffee and tea as well. I stayed in Villa Pera 2 which is a 90 second walk from Villa Pera 1 where reception is and where they serve breakfast. It's on a beautiful little street so walking there in the light of dawn with the white icicle lights that are hung overhead attached to the buildings on either side of the street was very nice. It's very quite and the cats running around was always fun to see. "

"This was one of the best stays we’ve had in Istanbul. Never having stayed in Taksim Sq and with a car, we appreciated the valet parking and relatively very easy access off the highway. The location is great to be able to walk and take public transport to most of the great sights. We were upgraded to a large suite and everything from the bedroom, walking closet and large bathroom were superb. The welcome note, fast check in, and snacks in room, with discrete and efficient service were wonderful. Staff were uniformly friendly especially our the guest attendant who took us to our room, welcomed us to the city and showed us the room. It was really a nice welcome in a city and country where hospitality is already very strong. Superb breakfast buffet and service. Finally, the view from the hotel over the city and Bosporus was wonderful. Watch the narrow lanes around the hotel if you’re driving, many dead ends, one ways. Not easy or practical for self parking."
