"Went to stay at Mad Monkey for 3 days in the shared dorm for the doublebed room for couples. It was some lovely people and very helpful staf. It has happy hour for 4 hours a day, you get a free drink when arriving and they have aircon in the rooms. The rooms are still warm but feel quite private. "Most hotels in Luang Prabang are in the old French Quarters. Manyo is a 10 minute til-tuk or shuttle ride away. A bit less convenient, but also much quieter. That is what we were looking for, and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They arranged for private transportation to the waterfalls at a competitive price, and provided a free shuttle back to the airport when we left. If we ever returned to Luang Prabang, this is where we would stay."

"The hotel should be rated 2 star or less. They used low grade materials to build this hotel. The hotel is so horrible. I had to wait for a long time for hot water to come in. The whole place was rushed to finish and you can use the unfinished job left behind. People were smoking in the lobby! I was so happy to leave the place. 2 night was too long!! "
