"Staff is friendly. Place is a rip off apartment is so small you literally cannot open or close doors to the rooms. There is zero closet space, towels were just disgusting bed sheets were not clean sand literally in the bed and everywhere in the beds. View of lake was amazing balcony was amazing. Ac didn’t work in one bedroom. It has good kitchen and was ok if there is two people staying there. Otherwise don’t go, place is a rip off unless you like to overpay."

Everything is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, including the saunas and pools. The massage services were excellent, and our room was spotless, cozy, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food was outstanding! Both breakfast and dinner exceeded our expectations. We also truly appreciated the professional and convenient bicycle rental service. One of the things we loved most about BIRGÉS Hotel is the atmosphere. Although the hotel is luxurious, elegant, and beautifully designed, it never makes guests feel that they need to be wealthy or pretend to be someone they are not. "Lake Balaton was picturesque and relaxing. The hotel was beautiful, extremely well maintained inside and out. The staff were very helpful and everyone we walked past said hello/good morning/good afternoon - we felt welcome. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. The wellness centre was brilliant and we made a point of going to soak in the warm pool each morning. My husband also used the sauna & cooler pool. We also decided to book a massage with Eva and she was brilliant! The breakfast was fantastic - a huge selection and probably the best we have had on our travels. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and would love to return again some time."

"We really enjoyed our time at this property, thank you. I think there is great value overall. The balcony was really relaxing and our room was spacious. The grounds are really well kept and there are lots of seating and room for guests to enjoy. We really appreciated the small bathtub put in our room for our baby. Very nice attention to detail. We also enjoyed the wine tasting. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and it’s a nice touch to not only try wines from the area but also to mingle with others. If I’m being honest, my husband and I felt the food is overpriced. We had lunch once and dinner once for two which totaled over $220 with no alcohol (the dinner price is fixed and lunch consisted of chicken tenders, a sandwich and fries). Dinner is a buffet and à la carte combo. I may be the minority here but the buffet food and aspect cheapened the costly dinner experience as we felt the à la carte part was the tastiest and freshest. Would’ve rather had the ordering menu and had a glass of wine included in the price. The cost of the food and the cost of the room was just a bit odd to us."
