Good beach and other swimming spots, with Clearwater and beautiful scenery, unique to this area of Sicily. Sunset is just beautiful, old castles, and forts, if that is something you like! A lot of food options. You can check out the whole island pretty much in a day by just walking. Beware of parking constraints. We paid €20 for paid parking for one night! I highly recommend secure paid parking if you’re driving through. Hotel was simple, a good value. Breakfast was good.

The location is truly the only positive thing I can say about this place. The building has other residences, and there is a strong smell of smoke throughout. The walls are extremely thin — you can clearly hear people in the rooms around you. The bed did not have a fitted sheet, only a top sheet, which exposed a very dirty mattress. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and overall the room did not feel clean. I would not recommend staying here.

Had a warm welcome from Maison Ortigia, and lots of help with parking and logistics. Very smooth experience to park in the old town with their help, easy check-in, nice clean room and fabulous location. Not a 5* hotel, but for a B&B a truly excellent experience. Thanks to the team for a lovely stay.

Had the most sickening and terrible smell in our room. We were told that Ortigia has trouble with their drainage system, but we had a relative staying in another room and he had no bad smells. We were told they would have somebody check the problem and when we returned that afternoon we found they had put some "blue Loo" freshener/ dye into the toilet bowl, but obviously that was gone on the first flush. As they were fully booked they could not move us to another room. Made for a very unpleasant stay. .

the location is fantastic however, be warned, there is no parking and if you manage to get a spot under ground it is 20Euro/day. The hotel room was big and the air conditioning made it cool. We had a kitchen and bathroom which were spacious. There was an awful smell on our floor which we commented on but weren't able to change rooms/floors.

Unappealing building with small, creaky lift to 3rd floor Reception. We had booked a deluxe room with balcony with a view of adjacent historic buildings, but we were allocated a small, plain standard room with a grim view of a grimy small interior courtyard with barred windows opposite . Resulting complaint satisfactorily resolved by Expedia. Location was excellent- all historic sites were within a short distance, together with bars and restaurants. Breakfast adequate, with cold eggs and an unreliable coffee machine. A machine nearby Reception was available for 2 Euros dispensing water, beer and soft drinks. For those with a hire car, streets are very narrow and parking is very limited.

This is basically holiday apartments, rather than a Hotel. The location is convenient in the historic heart of the city (although driving/parking would be a nightmare), but the rooms are scattered around a fairly unappealing modern block with a particularly creaky lift giving access to the tine Reception on the 3rd floor. We had booked and paid for a Deluxe double room with balcony for 4 nights, but on arrival were told that no such rooms were available, which the Manager blamed on Expedia not passing on our request and payment. Our standard room was very basic, with a dreadful view of a grimy interior courtyard with a barred window opposite. The included breakfast was also basic with an unreliable coffee machine, but acceptable. A machine dispensing water, soft drinks and beers (2 Euros) is also available. In summary, "Maison Ortigia" scores on location, but little else, and its failure to honour our Deluxe room booking is now the subject of a formal complaint.

Personale molto gentile e disponibile anche se la reception c'è solo in determinati orari. Posizione eccellente proprio al centro di Ortigia. La nostra camera avrebbe avuto bisogno di essere rinnovata sia nell'arredamento che soprattutto nel bagno perchè la doccia non offriva temperatura costante. Tuttavia considerando l'abbondante colazione consiglierei la struttura per l'ottimo rapporto qualita/prezzo.

Posizione perfetta, a due passi dal duomo di ortigia. Colazione non male, camera pulita ma purtroppo cin affaccio orrendo su un vano interno. Il b&b è diviso in 2 portoni comunicanti a diversi oiani di un palazzo anni 80, non il massimo. Alla reception durante il check in si fingeva di un pos non funzionante per prendere tassa di soggiorno in contanti....purtroppo in italia abbiamo una pessima mentalità e cultura. Ho finto di non avere soldi e al check out ho detto di non avere contanti ma solo carte e magicamente, non con entusiasmo anzi...ho pagato con carta

Kiváló szálloda, gyakorlatilag hibátlan. Kedves a recepciós és segítőkész. A szobák modernek, automata redőnnyel, hangulatos erkéllyel. Az összes szoba tiszta és szintén tiszta és újszerű fürdőszoba volt mindegyikben. A reggeli friss, bőséges és finom. Nagyon jó helyen van a szálloda. 1 percre boltok is vannak, és 1 percre már éttermek is mindenhol. Ez a régi óvárosban van, ami tökéletes választás. Ajánlom a hotelt mindenkinek.

Difficile de les contacter pour savoir comment accéder à l’hôtel et surtout au parking. Donc pour ne pas prendre le risque on a du laisser la voiture sur un autre parking payant. Le numéro de téléphone était erroné sur le site de hôtel.com ainsi que les prix des taxes! Assez énervant de venir visiter une ville juste une journée et de perdre 2 h pour accéder au hôtel. Finalement tout cela était du au Hotels.com ! L’hôtel est très bien situé, petit déjeuner ok

Al nostro arrivo siamo stati ricevuti da una gentilissima receptionist che ci ha assegnato la camera e spiegato tutti i servizi. La stanza era pulita e in ordine, unico (forse) neo il climatizzatore che non scaldava benissimo, ma per il resto l'ambiente era confortevole. Nel prezzo era compresa anche la prima colazione che viene servita al quarto piano, in una graziosissima saletta dove abbiamo trovato di tutto: dal dolce (spremute, yogurt, ciambellone, crostate, marmellate, Nutella, cornetti) al salato (affettati, formaggi e uova) e ovviamente caffè e cappuccini da preparare al momento. Struttura consigliata anche per l’ubicazione in quanto si trova in pieno centro e a pochi passi dal duomo e da tanti locali

Mi spiace ma da non ritornarci

Non sono abituato a fare recensioni negative ma questa volta davvero lo merita : ritardo nel check in di 20 minuti, non c'era nessuno nonostante avessi avvisato un'ora prima; tapparella del bagno che non saliva (riparata ma controllare prima no?) finestra del bagno senza tenda (obbligati a tenere la tapparella abbassata per ovvi motivi di privacy) ; porta finestra della camera che dava direttamente sul solaio del piano di sotto senza nessuna protezione per eventuali cadute ( ci sono circa 80-90 cm dalla camera al solaio). La signorina alla reception alle ns segnalazioni ha detto che purtroppo non sapeva cosa fare.... Era così da quando hanno rifatto il solaio!!!!! CAMERA 3 - 1 PIANO. HO LE FOTO DISPONIBILI MA NON SI RIESCONO A CARICARE Posizione spettacolare e Ortigia meravigliosa!!!

Un B&B parecido a un hostal

El baño de la habituación olía a cloaca. La habituación es muy sencilla. Y el desayuno muy justo. Sin embargo, el punto en el que se encuentra es buenísimo (en el centro de Ortigia) y la gente fue muy agradable.
