"This is a terrific, versatile, and historical place. I stayed in one of the original buildings, with wood floors and thin walls. The room was looking out over the front of the property and the street beyond. The room was understandably small, seeing the origins, and the price was pleasantly suitable to the size despite the sense of history in it and the areas of the business immediately around it. The food onsite was very good, as was the service on all counts, restaurant or complementary coffee and baked goods in the morning. A word of caution regarding the choice of rooms: the room I was in had rather thin walls and ceiling, so you don't want to be singing in the shower (so to speak, I did not literally do this) unless you want your neighboring guests hearing it. It is a beautiful property on beautiful grounds, and I'll hope to stay again someday."

"It's a beautiful, traditional Inn, without modern amenities. Unlike some Inn's, you still feel like you have your own personal space, but yet it's still cozy. I felt like I walked into an episode of Gilmore Girls. It was wonderful. A must if you're in the area."
