Yes, the building could use some sprucing up, and there’s no elevator, but those feel like small trade‑offs for this riverside gem."

"The architecture of the house, both inside and out, was gorgeous. It is really amazingly designed and very attractive, though old and needing some TLC at this point. There was no evidence of rodents like others mentioned in the past, but we noticed holes where they could get in. The back patio, the balcony over the water, and the private location within all the greenery were all wonderful. The dock had a hole leading to it and looked unstable, so we didn't venture onto it. More dish towels and dish cloths would have been nice. The bathroom in particular was beautifully designed and spacious. The loft was fun, and overall we greatly enjoyed our stay."
