A great stay

We stayed in room 221, a large corner room which had lovely views to two sides. Breakfast fantastic. Hotel is ideal for the Hurtigruten ship and also the Arctic Route Bus.

Good hotel with free parking lot right in front of hotel. It is enjoyable to have breakfast outside under the sun viewing the bay. The only thing not good is that the hotel doesn't have elevators—we had to carry two big luggage cases upstairs through stairs

The shower did not always have hot water. The staff told us a trick to try, but we could not improve the situation. The next staff member we spoke to offered to move us to a different room. I feel most of the staff were very helpful.

Many rooms are outside the parking lot like a motel & the area is an industrial park. We could hear people talking outside & through the air vents. The bathroom had hair & dried boogers in the shower, the bed had 2 overlapping sheets as the mattress cover, no outlets by the bed, no desk, no space for towels in the bathroom, no drinking glasses, and poor water pressure. It was so much lower quality than other Scandic hotels. A 100m away is a brand new Thon Hotel for the same cost. Wish I had known that. This Scandic should be your last resort! The staff were friendly though and the breakfast was acceptable.

Room was clean, beds comfortable, great breakfast choice; we paid an additional amount for a larger room. Hotel was well situated for Svolvaer and within walking distance. Amenities were basic with no lift, safe or tea/coffee facilities in the room (available in reception downstairs but the machine had not been in full working order for the last 5 days). There is no evening dining option at this hotel. Car parking fees also apply. We compared the price of the Scandic compared to the Thon Hotel Svolvaer and the Thon hotel was less costly and included safe, tea/coffee facilities in the room. Due to the basic facilities being offered by Scandic lately, we would probably not use their hotels in the future if Thon or other hotel available.

All staff we talked to were friendly and professional. The hotel is along side the wharf- near warehouses and large got industry. An odd location when driving in. Easy to walk to central plaza and restaurants. A basic, no frills hotel that is clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent.

Still after 10 pm music was played very loud outside. The room was quite large, but there was no amenities such as a kettle. In addition, the floor was a bit dirty. The breakfast was varied and good.

I asked the staff if I can book a second room (there were three of us), and she seemed to not understand. I asked about the ferries, and she knew nothing of the ferries in the area. The breakfast room was too small; why not open up breakfast earlier?

Malgré plusieurs demandes à la réception, la chambre n'a jamais été refaite pendant notre séjour de ps jours et nous avions même un sac de linge sale planté juste à côté de notre chambre pendant les 3 jours. Un comble ! La salle de bain : il manque un pare douche efficace: on est obligé à une vigilance extrême pour ne pas arroser le sol.Le petit déjeuner-buffet très varié aurait été agréable si nous n'étions pas grossièrement surveillé par les deux employées à l'affut d'un voyageur qui oserait emmener une vivre du buffet pour sa journée. L'accueil à la réception réduit au strict minimum, aucune indication supplémentaire pour aider le visiteur. En revanche, hôtel idéalement situé pour tout avec la proximité de la mer et des habitations plus typiques que certains hôtels de la ville. Il suffirait de pas grand chose pour être un bel endroit accueillant et le prix de la nuit le justifie amplement (1000 euros pour 3 nuits en juillet).

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen mit Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Hotel. Als Gast erhält man einen Rabatt fürs parken. Frühstück war gut und Abwechslungsreich. Das Bad war allerdings renovierungsbedürftig. Preis / Leistung gerade noch ok.

Struttura nel complesso buona. Ottima la colazione, super abbondante e con molta scelta. E ottimo il servizio di reception H24. Alcune Stanze si trovano al pian terreno e fronte parcheggio: quindi se si aprono le tende non si dispone di privacy. Parcheggio a pagamento .
