Old fashioned hostel in a nice quiet town. The owner is incredibly nice and has great hospitality. If you don't mind cold water like I do, you can dip your feet in the ocean 200 feet away. He also has a lot of books and music to look at. Full kitchen too. Only real real con is the bathroom can be a bit leaky. Great place and thank you for the peaceful night!

We traveled from the US. The host was so great and met us as we pulled up. He showed us around the hostel plus our room. Because of last minutes changes to our reservation, we ended up with a two shared rooms all to ourselves. We had plenty of room plus lots of extra. We would visit again if we were in the area again.

Property was easy to find and we were met by a very friendly host. He gave me a tour of the property which had a fully equipped kitchen, very clean bathrooms and a common area full of books. There is a small grocery store steps away.

Cozy! Friendly!

It is a somewhat old-fashioned house, but very very cozy! Very clean. Handy kitchen, everything one needs. Small shared bathrooms. The bedroom is also small, but with enough practical space. Very friendly landlord!

The gentleman who owns the property was absolutely adorable. So kind and sweet. Property was clean and had everything you needed. Great experience with the property itself, however the other people staying in the same house made me a little upset. Generally, when staying in a guesthouse/hostel like property mutual respect is expected. The other guests woke up very early and were being VERY loud. Again, nothing to do with the property but keep in mind that other people are staying in the same place and are trying to get some rest as well:)

Lovely hostel run by Benni in this tiny village! We used it as a base before setting off towards Myvatn and exploring the northern parts of the Vatnajökull national park. We were warmly welcomed and shown the facilities, which included a petite but well stocked kitchen, a generous dining area and a lounge with a sofa. Our room was clean, warm, and bedding comfortable. Bathrooms were comfortable and showers nice and warm. Overall very happy. The village is very small, but good for bird watching, and apparently seals were spotted nearby. There is also an earthquake museum that looked very interesting but it was unfortunately shut by the time we arrived.

En perle i det nordlige Island

Det var et godt sted at være. Der var 4 værelser i huset. Der var to bade- og toilet værelser til de fire værelser. Stort køkken med plads til alle. Og en fantastisk vært som bød os velkommen da vi kom. I det store køkken var der utallige bøger om Island og fuglene i Island. Der var smukke fotos fra Island på væggene. Værten var meget hjælpsom. Huset lå helt med direkte udsigt over havet.

Zeer eenvoudig en verouderd. De kamer had gordijnen maar deze verduisteren niet echt. De matrassen lagen door. In de keuken werkte slechts 1 stopcontact, waardoor de andere apparaten niet werkten. Dus oven, fornuis, micro werkte niet. De keuken was ook vies. Lag overal dode vliegen . Het materiaal was oud en aangekoekt.
