The photo shows a beautiful lodge, which it is, but that is not where the room is. It was in an old lodge in front of it. The room was tiny and musty with old furnishings. The breakfast was good but it is not free.

Delightful Alaskan Lodge Experience
We had a delightful stay for four nights in the Mountain View suite - great views and what a comfortable bed! Very large room, clean and comfortable. Lodge is very nice with a great staff - we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with every member of the staff and the owner who all went out of their way to be helpful with not only anything we needed regarding our stay but also recommendations about things to do and see in the area. Great views of the surrounding mountains from the lodge and the grounds. Dinners at the lodge, which were a single option pre-fixe menu this time of year were outstanding!

We loved the location and especially the view from the upper level and our lower level room as well. The log structure was amazing. The only thing that we had an issue with was the temperature in our room. There is radiant heat in the concrete floor, unfortunately it was left on and our room was very uncomfortably hot for our 1 night stay. We left the windows open, but it did not help and after turning that heat off for the entire night, the floor was still warm in the morning. Otherwise the room was very nice.

Incredible stay, I’ve stayed in the lodge for three days and everything there was amazing. The scenery at the upper deck was spectacular with the view of the snow peak Chugach mountain. The facilities were clean and tidy, and staff members were always friendly and happy to help with everything.

Not senior citizen friendly. Beds are table height, difficult to get into. No chair in the room. Stairs to the main level are very steep with narrow treads. Our room was on the lower level, under the dining room. We heard every footstep above us. The property itself is beautiful, and probably great for the younger folks.
