Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Susques?
The best time to go to Susques is during the dry season, from April to November, as this period offers the most pleasant weather for exploring.During these months, you'll experience clear skies and cooler temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and visiting the nearby Salinas Grandes salt flats. The daytime temperatures are comfortable, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, though evenings can be quite chilly, so packing layers is essential. This season avoids the heavier rainfall and occasional thunderstorms that can occur from December to March, which might disrupt travel plans or make some roads less accessible. For travellers interested in stargazing, the dry season, particularly from May to September, offers exceptionally clear nights due to the minimal cloud cover and low humidity.
