17 Acres of Northwoods Beauty with Direct Access to Trails - Anderson Lake Lodge
Anderson Lake Lodge sits high atop the hill across the road from beautiful Anderson Lake. This property is all about fun, recreation and relaxation for large groups of family and friends to enjoy together.
You'll have plenty of room to roam through our 17 acre wooded back yard with walking trails for you and your guests.
With 2,700 sq. ft. this three level spacious lodge can accommodate our maximum of 12 guests comfortably and has plenty of room for everyone inside and out. We have five bedrooms, ten assorted size beds and two sofas with all the bedding you'll need. You'll also appreciate having a bathroom on each level.
In the heart of the north woods by Mountain, Suring, Lakewood and Townsend you will have plenty of activities to choose from and numerous lakes to explore. Take advantage of local activities including, nearby swimming, fishing, ice fishing, golfing, gift shops, horseback riding, hunting, casinos, biking, ATV trails, snowmobile trails, cross country trails, white water rafting and much more.
We are located in Oconto County which works in conjunction with local ATV clubs to provide over 450 miles of fully interconnected scenic ATV trails for your enjoyment!
The surrounding area not only boasts endless ATV trails but endless snowmobile trails as well.
With DIRECT ACCESS to both the ATV trails AND the snowmobile trails from our property you can just get up and go! No need to trailer your machines and plenty of parking for your vehicles and trailers right on the property. (see additional information below for local ATV and Snowmobile rentals and repair)
Anderson Lake provides great fishing, and water sports. We are located across the road from Anderson Lake but there is NO direct access to the lake from the property if that is the focus of your getaway. You can however venture out in either direction to explore one of the many recreational lakes in the area offering fishing, rafting, swimming, tubing and more. The public launch to Anderson Lake is just 2 minutes away. Anderson Lake does not have a public beach area. Our guests prefer the much larger nearby 417 acre recreational lake which is just 2 1/2 miles from the property. They offer public boat launch, picnic ares and a small beach area for swimming. (see additional information below for pontoon boat, fishing boat and jet ski rentals with delivery options available) For a day at the lake with fun and sand you must visit Kelly Lake located in Suring. You'll find it just 19 miles from the property and worth the drive if you're looking for beach, swimming and picnics. For those willing to endure the cold the Ice Fishing is also very popular on the area lakes. You may want to take part in one of the local ice fishing contests!
For cross country ski enthusiasts there are numerous groomed trails nearby. Some local trails would be found in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. It has two dozen groomed Nordic trails totaling 263 miles. The Lakewood Trail (minutes away) offers scenic beauty, challenging climbs and downhills along its 14 mile route. Also the Nicolet Nordic Ski Trail or Nicolet State Trail. You can find more information on cross country ski trails in our area by going to the Wisconsin Trail Guide website.
For hunters, there are thousands of acres of State public hunting land nearby.
If you prefer some adventure during our spring and summer months, you can take a day trip to enjoy Whitewater Rafting. Just 20 to 30 miles from the Lodge you will find numerous outfitters who offer whitewater rafting tours on the Peshtigo River and the Wolf River. In addition to rafting, one offers rock climbing, paintball, kayak tours and a sixty foot high ropes course and zip line. Information and directions are posted in the Lodge for your convenience. For all the whitewater rafting available in the area check out the Wisconsin Trail Guide website and select Paddle Trails!
For a unique experience going back in time you might enjoy taking a ride on the Lumberjack Steam train located just 38 miles from the property. During the summer months (June thru August) they offer train runs from the Depot located in Laona to the Lumberjack Camp Museum. They also have special events that include a Cowboy Reenactment where you will take part in a Wild West train robbery. An event not to miss is the Lumberjack Show in July which has been featured on ABC Wide World of Sports, Discovery Channel and several others. This show has been presented for 25 years drawing over a million visitors. Watch lumberjacks compete in running on logs, axe throwing, pole climbing and other nostalgic competition dating back to the 1900s. During the fall enjoy a ride through the fall colors and take in a Saturday Fall Festival Events. For more information on times of operation and event dates, you can visit the Lumberjack Steam Train website or contact them at 715-674-3414.
There are many interesting places to visit and things to do within a short distance from the Lodge. Many of our guests will take a day trip to visit Lambeau Field and the Packer Hall of Fame in Green Bay(45 minutes). Others enjoy a day trip to Door County (1 1/2 hours). The agenda is yours whether you spend time enjoying the amenities of the property or venture out on day trips.
If your objective is to just lay low and enjoy the property, the Lodge lower level will keep our guests entertained with games, TV, bar and fireplace. In the living room on the main floor, relax in front of the fireplace with one of our 500 library books. The Lodge property has over one half mile of walking trails throughout the 17 wooded acres. Enjoy hiking, cross country skiing or maybe try snow shoes, but please no ATV or dirt bikes on our walking trails. We also have a regulation size sand pit volleyball court in the back yard and a variety of outdoor games to enjoy.
We provide Viasat Satellite WiFi to our guests as well as Directv. We do have a variety of DVD's available for you to use but you may just want to bring your own favorites. There are DVD players in the living room and in the upper loft area for the kids.
At the end of the day picture peaceful evenings sitting outdoors around the fire pit reminiscing old memories while making new ones. Great house for a chill friends weekend in the woods. Lots of room for puzzles and game nights, beautiful walking path through the woods, and beautiful outdoor space for morning coffee.
We have stayed here a couple of times and always enjoy it. The house is clean, and well supplied with everything you need to cook inside or outside. Location is fantastic for trails and fishing.
We were there as an executive board to collaborate and get work done. The space was spot on and beds were comfortable. The setting was calming and provided for nice breaks throughout our day. The internet worked well but the lighting was a little dark for what we were doing. Overall we were very pleased with everything and would recommend Anderson lake Lodge.
Perfect place for a get-away! Easy access to recreation trails, restaurants and area entertainment! Great place to come back to relax, enjoy a fire and have fun with friends!
The house was big enough for our large family, it was clean and inviting, and located where we could get to neat place to hike, like Dave's Waterfall and other natural areas. We would recommend it to all, and we hope to return next year.
Plenty of space for all 6 of us. All the kitchen items we would need were available to us. The scenery was wonderful and the view of the lake and the sunsets were great. Thank you for a great stay.
We spent the weekend at Kevin’s place with our seven children. We all had plenty of room and the house was spotlessly clean. The trails were great for walking and the whole atmosphere was very cozy and accommodating.
The lodge is perfect for our gathering of family from around the country. The home is beautiful and spacious with every amenity we could ever need. The host is responsive and very accommodating. This was our third time renting the place and I'm sure we will be back.
We go up to Mountain, WI once a year for a winter kickball tourney over at Skinny Dave's. We have tried a few cabins in the area and we have decided that moving forward we will stick with this one if available. Spacious / Great location / Wonderful accommodations and the host was available if needed
2nd year in the same cabin and it was nothing short of great. Everything is always very clean and feels like home. We had to contact the owners with a question and he was very responsive. I have nothing but good things to say about this cabin. We will be back again 🙂
Beautiful cozy northwoods get away. Spacious indoors and outdoors with a cozy firepit to top off the evenings. Ammenities were plentiful, we lacked nothing. We hope to return soon.
We loved this rental. The lodge was spacious, stocked, and inviting. The surrounding wooded area and walking trails were great for our kids to romp through. My wife and I enjoyed sitting near the fireplace. Thanks for giving us a great place to ring in the New Year!
This place was perfect for us. We mostly used it for sleep as we spent most time at family's on the pond. There was more than enough room for us and without being on top of one another. It was supplied with more than everything we needed and communication was great.
Me and my buddies go “up north” once a year around Crivitz/Mountain/Pound/Amberg etc and we’ve consistently found that Anderson Lake Lodge is the best fit for our group.
There’s tons of bedrooms and space inside, the 3 bathrooms are key, the fire pit and porches are awesome, and the property is nicely laid out. We also love that it’s a 3 min walk to the lake and Water’s Edge bar.
We’ll be back again next summer for sure
8th time coming to Anderson Lake Lodge and it never ceases to disappoint. It’s a perfect spot for a large group gathering with “up north” vibes. The lodge has tons of space to spread out and sleep comfortably, has lots of games and activities both inside and out, well stocked kitchen, strong enough wifi, and ample seating both inside and out.Only downside for us is it’s not directly on the water, but it’s a short walk to jump in or dangle your feet off the pier. On the upside it’s nice to be right next to a bar/restaurant and just down the road from a gas station for any additional provisions. The hosts are communicative and flexible. Check in and check out are easy and seamless. 5 star spot!
We had A great time, hanging out and making use of all the things the place had to offer...the huge fire pit area, the nice lounge/bar area in the lower level, and the upper living area,as well..everyone had a comfortable bed,and what more could you ask for,the place was great !
good food,good friends,good times !
hope to stay again..thank you,Kevin and Erin
Have been renting vacation homes every year for over 37 years and this is the absolute best! Spotless, beautiful, more amenities and supplies than I have ever seen anywhere! There were six of us and every single person was thrilled. This place should give seminars to all owners of rental properties. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!!
This was our group’s 6th stay at Anderson Lake Lodge and we keep coming back because it’s perfect for us.
Plenty of beds and bathrooms, separate living and hanging out areas, tons of yard/space for our bocce ball event, quick walk to the bar for a drink or food, air conditioning, a great fire pit, etc etc
We don’t spend a lot of time indoors but the house has a nice TV, cable, lots of movies and books, plus the bar area downstairs.
We only wish we had direct access to the lake. It’s fine, but crossing hwy 32 isn’t ideal.
Great spot, great stay, we’ll be back!
