Is an old property knows as yuvraj. Ok as a 3 star. But disappointing as a best western needs upgrading.
Restaurant is only one and food is so so.
Very close to rly stn.but far from airport. Close to diamond center.
Comfortable and clean, and friendly helpful staff. Fast reliable internet in the room. Only issue was with payment. I reserved room online thru Expedia, but hotel did not receive payment. I had to call Expedia. Expedia refunded my credit card, and I paid the hotel.
where do i start from the phone that you can not dial a local line on your own or A/C that breaks down every night or the internet that you pay to have and it is very slow and an IT department tells you that you can not go on you tube or read a news that have a video or to that all veg food the list goes on and on if this hotel was for free i would not choose it next time at all
the hotel is conveniently located & good value for money

[1] I've yet to see a more horrible approach to the hotel. The last 200 feet is like clearing a deteriorating obstacle course. Not needed after driving 150 Kms from Vadodara.
[2] Room # 110 should not be let out. The toilet is so placed that one has to wriggle under the washbasin to get to it and getting out is another story! Rubbish.
[3] No eggs for breakfast. Skimping!?!?
The place is nice. Walking distance from Surat railway station. Their website and promotional pics show distorted views, the entire actual place is much smaller and cramped. Staff is okay. Lift doors have really stiff springs against which you have to open them.
My room was just 8'x10'. Room and the toilet were very clean! The decor is rather spartan and dark - dark decor in a cramped place makes it look even smaller. The bed was extremely high. The room fridge didn't work and did not have a bottle of cold water in it.
Complimentary buffet breakfast was really insipid, the idlis were rubbery, the sambar was as sour as diluted vinegar. Samosas (actually an evening snack) were okay. Alu-paranthas were raw. All the food was cold or just lukewarm. The food layout was confusing too.
Customer service was appaling. We had booked three rooms - 1 twin room,1 triple room for 3 adults and 1 triple for 2 adults and 1 child. We also had a hard copy of the booking, without which we would not have got the rooms we had requested. The hotel had only got a record of 2 rooms for us, but as we produced a hard copy they agreed to give us 3 rooms.
This would have been OK if they had offered us the correct rooms. They said our booking was only for 2 basic rooms (Deluxe in their terminology) which were not big enough to get another bed in them. They suggested putting a mattress on the floor. We insisted we wanted real beds. They said the only way to have rooms with enough space for beds was to upgrade to Executve roms and pay an extra 8000 Indian Rupees. They claimed that this was the way things were in India. We argued that we had book similar rooms in two other hotels in Delhi and Jaipur and each time we were give 'real' beds, not mattresses. We insisted on seeing a manager and were told he was not available. Fortunately, they agreed to allow us into suitable rooms until the manager arrived. The next morning we finally tracked down the manager who admitted the hotel had lost one of our bookings and had got confused with somebody else with the same surname who had checked in before us. Due to mistakes in the booking he agreed to waive the extra supplement.
In India check carefully room sizes and what is meant by extra 'bed' - it could just be a mattress!
I thought this was a great hotel, conviently located for the hustle & bustle of Surat. The hotel is in good condition with ammenities and friendly staff, the hotel resteraunt albeit vegetarian serves good food. Overall a good hotel good value.
