Wow! Amazing experience! Eymos made us feel welcomed. The cabin and whole property was spotless. We loved looking at the stars from our porch and through the glass ceiling. We even saw a shooting star! We would love to stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.
We needed a place to go off-line for awhile and enjoy the night sky. This was just the place we needed. Close to the Petrified Forest and definitely dark sky. The host was wonderful.
I thought it was going to be a touch to small but it worked out great. Outdoor cooking area was clean and worked for what it needed to do. The host came over to make sure everything was good and unexpected but greatly appreciated. If you have a trailor or RV the pumps to turn on and off are natural. If you are not familiar with that the host was more than happy to show you how to make it work. There are a few small shops to get food near by or just bring your own. Would book this place again.
Myself and a friend were beyond satisfied with the choice we made. Stargazing was the goal and this location and host far exceeded expectations. Fun, interesting conversation, creativity around the property is inspiring. Host was super hospitable going above and beyond the average. We will be back and spread the word!
Good , it was a great spot for Star Gazing as advertised, the cabin was unique, rustic and off grid …the night got cold , down to 19 degrees that night, it’s not insulated, but a heating unit did help significantly, that and I had my down sleeping bag, overall you can tell a great deal of effort and thought on sustainability, I commend him , great communication!
Road to the cabin was deeply rutted/potholed in many places. We felt the on-line listing was not accurate: an updated outhouse is not a bathroom; a sink with a hot plate/no cooking utensils does not make a kitchen/kitchenette. We didn't think the water was potable as it had a brownish tinge, so we had to double back to the truck stop for food and liquids. Night-long noise from I-40 truck traffic was annoying. The cabin was "OK" for watching stars through the ceiling as the glass was obstructed with dust. Overall, a "cool", interesting, doable place to stay - for one night.
