In the daytime the property was nice and quiet. When I entered the room there were dead bugs on the floor. There were cigarette holes or burn holes in the sheets. The covers smelled like they were never clean the pillows smelled like they were never cleaned. The room was Dusty. The air conditioner was filthy. The room just wasn't clean at all. And night as it got close tonight time it was very noisy. The whole parking lot full of loud music out next door neighbors were loud blasting music. Everything was just loud The prices were decent for the stay but that's all

Overall, the experience was not horrible for what we paid. The room was clean. Nevertheless the bathroom/shower needs work. New shower heads are necessary. This includes updating amenities like adequate soap, towels, shower curtain, hair dryer, a mat or rug upon entrance. Example: it was a rainy day and our shoes were wet. There was no mat/rug to wipe feet, put suitcases on to avoid tracking the water all over the floor. Check out time is 11am. Our key was deactivated the morning before 10am. My husband went to get breakfast and was locked out.

Additionally, we sincerely apologize as our main ice machine is broken however we placed a sign on it to let our guests know that ice can be obtained at the front desk upon request, while we await the part to fix the machine. It's rare that I write reviews unless something really stands out to me but this Red Roof Inn has to be the best budget hotel in the Sumter area. The price is great, the rooms are exactly as pictured and are nicely remodeled. Beds are comfortable and the location the convenient you could ever ask for (The mall is literally a 5 min walk away). The thing that really stuck out to me, however, was the customer service. I only stayed one night but made a small mistake reserving online (rushing, user error) and was afraid I would not be able to check-in that day but the gentleman at the desk went out of his way to make sure I had no issues and was able to check in! I also had to go to the front desk a few times for minor things that I needed or to ask questions about the area and the owner was super helpful and accommodating. For a hotel in this price range I can guarantee you that you will find nothing better and this is a no-brainer. If I'm ever in Sumter and have to stay overnight again; this is where I will be staying!

The manager actually saved me money, close to $100. The beds weren't that comfortable but i didn't have to worry about bed bugs or roaches. The rooms was clean and every day they came and cleaned the room very well. The tub was immaculate, which i can't say that for much for any of the 4 star hotels I've stayed in. As for the price, it was definetly better than the rest. The Inn is located near fast food spots, a Wal-Mart, and the Piggly Wiggly, so you'll be within walking distance of most places. And despite all of this, it still felt like a safe, chill spot. It was quiet and the management was friendly.

Was in town for a friend's baby shower, and the Inn was smack in the middle of everything. It was very convenient. There were people outside being loud to the point where my friend and I woke up early. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay.

You should remove this hotel from your listing. It’s disgustingly dirty. Sheets weren’t changed, floors not mopped, have to stand and get bit by swarms of bugs to check in. Beer bottles all over the parking lot, steps and walkways, pool hasn’t been opened and it’s JULY!Manager sleeps on lobby floor. No coffee makers, couch was horribly stained and dirty. Way over priced for such a filthy room and premises. The room was musty and dirty. I don’t have enough room to list everything

The room repairs were horrible, I’ve seen better work from unskilled workers. No phones in the room, no way to contact the front desk. Parking lot dimly lit. Towels were thin and scratchy not what I expected after staying at numerous Red Roof Inns across the country. Charged full rate no breakfast and no reimbursement for having to you out and buy breakfast after renting a room with breakfast as my primary requirements. No snack center, no coffee, no access to lobby, no free long distance calling,, no pets allowed despite all promised on the website. The chairs were very uncomfortable, wheels did not work well on the desk chair. I will not stay at another Red Roof Inn after this experience.

Worst hotel I have been in. Reception told me I can’t use lotion! Really! Floor was Filthy! They spray painted the mirrors and bathroom and didn’t remove overage. Horrible!! People walked by windows and look in constantly! Not safe! Sheets had burn holes and what looked like blood. Towels stunk!! Stay away!!

Disappointed
There were roaches crawling in the bathroom and next to the bed! We informed the manager and he just offered another room and wouldn’t refund our money! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone! PS, we had to wait fifteen minutes to check in due to the manager not being there!

Red Roof Sumter SC DON’T DO IT
When I first checked In I was asked how many people would be staying them I was told I couldn’t have visitors half of my deposit was taken because he was looking for reasons to keep it the fridge and microwave are very old the tub and towels were dirty half a roll of tissue no replacement tissue do not check into this hotel will be a waste of time unless you like giving away free money because they would find a reason to take it

This place is a dump. It’s being remodeled but as someone who is in construction, it’s not being done right. All repairs are simply patches applied by someone with no knowledge or experience. The hotel is near shopping and restaurants but is a dump itself.

Horrendous & Deceptive
This hotel is horrendous, they was trash outside main lobby area like construction materials, when I arrived the hotel looked nothing like what is displayed on website. My reservation was changed from non smoking to smoking and upon entering room it was uninhabitable besides the stench of smoke it was pretty run down. Hotel.com should not be affiliated with this particular Red Roof. I have stayed in other Red Roofs and they were as advertised, room & overall appearance of main lobby area along with the appearance outside of property.
