Stay with us anytime January-March and save! Hidden Gem Cabins welcomes you to the Sojourner (Cabin 4). This is a brand new, comfortable wood cabin and peaceful retreat. Perfect for two people! Located alongside a babbling brook that can be heard while relaxing on your back porch, our 4 cabins are located in a quiet, wooded area. You will be renting the Sojourner (Cabin 4) which is a cozy studio cabin that sleeps two people in a comfortable pillow top queen size bed. The space has one full size bathroom with a shower and a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, toaster, griddle, drip coffee maker, and a microwave. There is a propane gas grill out back of your cabin as well as a fire pit to enjoy with complimentary firewood and we invite you to relax in front of the Roku Smart TV or on your private back porch. Sip your morning coffee as you take in the beautiful scenery around you and enjoy visits from the friendly deer and rabbits that live on the property. All linens and towels provided, along with a starter supply of toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Ice cold air conditioner, cozy heat and Wi-Fi Internet included. And no need to take dirty clothes home with you...there is a coin-operated laundromat on the premises. Our cabins DO NOT ALLOW PETS or emotional support animals.

This cozy cabin is just 7.5 miles from Summersville Lake and Battlerun Campground, 30 minutes from the New River Gorge National Park and only 13 miles from the town of Summersville where you can find several grocery stores and restaurants. Don’t feel like adventuring too far? The Drennen Dairy Bar, gas station and convenience store is less than a mile away! Because we are centrally located, you’ll find our cabins are a great base camp for all of your outdoor activities - boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing, rafting, hiking, mountain biking, exploring our National and State parks, zip lining, ATV riding, scenic drives, birdwatching, rock climbing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter or just relaxing in the beautiful mountains of almost heaven, West Virginia! You’ll find your passion here!

Parking is available right outside your cabin with plenty of room for your boat or trailer. You’ll love coming back to this cozy cabin after a day in the wild and wonderful great outdoors of West Virginia!

A great alternative to a hotel room. It’s small, but has all the conveniences you need. The bed was comfy; AC/Heating unit (we used both) worked great; plenty of hot water. Easy check-out. It’s situated at the back of a property where deer come to feed on chestnuts. We watched one deer family for probably hour one evening. True delight.

The cabin was adorable, and even have their own bathrooms. We easily used the fire pit thanks to the free wood provided, and the grill the next day, all in all it’s a perfect little cabin not far from the Lake or anything

Hidden Gem Cabins really are little gems!

It's a lovely quiet spot. The area around the cabins is nice. Flowers along the sides, yard in the back with a fire pit and grill. Bed was great. We used it as a jumping off point to the New River Gorge National Park. The location was excellent for that. (The cabin, not the bed.) Perfect for 2 people.

Super cute place. Bed is hard but everything else was lovely. We bought a matress topper and that helped the second night. The HVAC system is touch and you were either hot or cold. The back porch was lovely to sit andhave your morning coffee

It was a beautiful cabin with amazing atmosphere, the only complaints we had are kind of nit picky, I dont know if we missed where the grill brush was or there actually wasnt one but the grill needed the carbon scraped out of the bottom, and there werent many paper towels but nothing that was able to ruin the amazing weekend we spent there, the cabin was quaint and absolutely beautiful, the property was well maintained and close to anything you would want to do, all in all it was an amazing experience and we will be renting from this property again, the owner was amazingly attentive when I forgot a sentimental item after checkout and was amazing to talk to, If you have a chance to rent please put this place on your go to list to visit our beautiful state and see some of our amazing attractions 10/10 amazing experience and I cant wait to return.

Great location and cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. One of the highlights was the cleanliness of the cabin. It was evident that a lot of care and attention had gone into preparing the space for guests. Another thoughtful touch was the provided firewood for the firepit. We enjoyed cozy evenings by the fire, making s'mores and soaking in the serene surroundings. It’s the details like this that really enhance the overall experience. We also enjoyed the proximity to the New River Gorge National Park and Original Flavor Bistro (incredible Venezuelan and Puerto Rican food!). Overall, our stay was wonderful, and I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped retreat.

Cozy Clean Cabin

I was worried at first after reading a review about it being near an idustrial park or warehouses and it being noisy. But that is NOT the case. It is a garage for a business but the people are not there over the weekend. It was not loud at all. Very peaceful and pleasant. It was also clean! Cute little firepit and a great area to explore. Highly recommend!

Awesome little Cabin!

Awesome little Cabin which worked perfect for our little getaway to Summersville Lake. We were very impressed how clean this cabin was....thank you for that! The back porch was very peaceful, and served as a great place to sit & relax after a long day at the lake as well as for sipping coffee in the morning. If you are looking for a place to stay near the lake, I would highly recommend. Oh, I almost forgot....Upon arrival we we received a nice little welcome treat, 4 amazing cupcakes from a Bakery.... these were not your basic cupcakes, these things were absolutely delicious! Thank you again for the thoughtful treat! Y'all are wonderful hosts & we appreciate the opportunity to experience a little slice of your paradise!

Great cozy efficiency cottage

The bed was comfortable. The AC was cold, but we were able to divert the airflow so not directly on us. The stand-up shower was roomy - big enough for 2 people. The rain-style shower head was nice, but would be better if paired with a hose style. The water heater took some adjusting to get right. At first it was either scalding hot or ice cold. I enjoyed cooking on the grill. The fire pit had wood available in a woodhouse. The cottages were oddly located on a storage facility property, but there was nice woods behind it. Not as secluded as it seemed in the pictures, but was mostly quiet. Wifi included. Be sure to bring your own shampoo and soap. Overall, a very splendid experience and wished we had more days to enjoy it.
