"I had the worst experience, I've ever had. It started with the clerk when i walked in, i did my part, i called 3 hrs ahead to confirm my status and informed him i would be in about 7pm, i pre registered, i answered all those questions including kids name ages, and puppies. Car info, all of it. When i got there, the clerk had me registered, pull out my license four different times, pull out my car info x4, on the fifth time like 30 min later still standing there at the desk, i ask again do you need anything else, can i put my stuff away( my license, my car info) ihe said yes, so i did, i said we have 2 rooms and 2 puppies. Then he pulls out 4 more papers for me to fill out, all the same info and he asked me for my license again and car info, i had 4 papers to review and fill out after we just did everything, so I'm mad now i been there like more than 35 40 min. He hads me two cards. I walk away not saying anything hit the exit door turn around and realize i have no idea where my rooms are located, he didn't explain anything or give me a map. I look at the rooms notice they are far apart, i have kids and puppies. I walk back to the desk i ask for a map, he says give him a min, hes finishing up another customer, then ignores me starts another customer! I ask again, these rooms are too far apart, Can you give rooms together? Abd starts another customer. So i walk away. My family locates our rooms, my key Doesn’t work, i need a new one! I checked out 1 day early.Terribl"

"We were able to check in about 15 min early which was nice. However when we got to our room, the door was already open? If I was alone I would’ve asked for another room since I would’ve not felt safe. Who knows if somebody walked into the room and waited there? There are multiple entree way into the hotel/ where our room was… My partner and I checked everywhere but it still gave us a feeling of unease. There was also some sort of metal wireon our bed, chipped paint and dirty walls. The toilet paper holder was very loose and not secured well. The main door too would not close shut unless you pushed really hard and no deadbolt either for extra security. Not very pleased with the status of our room. The light switches were also reversed, and some of the outlets did not work. Just a lot inconveniences. The only thing that we liked was the “breakfast”. The coffee machine was working and pastries were decent. Nothing crazy. Also close walk to the harbor and maybe 15 min walk to state street. Parking was ample around early afternoon and there were still some spots at night. We will probably not be staying here due to what we have experienced. "

"Staff was fantastic. Location is fantastic. Only 4 stars because the products in the bathroom hadn’t been refilled … one tissue left in the box, 95 percent of body wash was empty, etc. Lovely stay regardless"

"This is one of the few high quality places to stay in Santa Barbara. It’s a gem, centrally located and very comfy. We loved staying here."
