Check-in was great, hardly anything to it! The kitchen and the gas-grill on the balcony are amazing, we cooked so much food during our stay. The fireplace is also super nice and comfy, only thing I should have done was bring more firewood.
We loved this property! The cabin has the greatest atmosphere- truly a cabin experience. The outdoor spaces were just right for our relaxed week. Fishing nearby was good and we really enjoyed being right on the Toccoa. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to the area.
Cabin was amazing and made us feel right at home! The creek, firepit, and front porch with hummingbird feeder made every moment special! 10/10 experience!
Beautiful, wonderful getaway. The cabin was clean and well-kept. Very comfortable. I only rated a 4 on the location because I wish it was a little further off of the main road. Trucks and motorcycles on HWY 60 are a bit annoying, but not enough to prevent coming back! Will be heading that way again soon.
We very much enjoyed our stay at River Moss Cabin!! The grounds were fantastic! The firepit area was a great place for the family to enjoy s’mores and a little football throwing through the life preserver😂 The bedrooms were very comfortable, just watch out for those beams in the loft. I did bump my head a few times. Make sure to bring your own laundry detergent to wash towels and wash cloths as you are only allotted one per person for the entirety of your stay. Overall, we had a great time!
I loved the way the cabin was decorated. The stairs was a bit much for us but the cabin is beautiful. Sadly, we did not catch any trout in the river behind the cabin. We did enjoy the nature beauty surrounding the cabin though.
The cabin was very clean and nice. It had everything we needed. The stream in the back is nice. The internet would cut.out, but always returned. I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds from the swing under the porch.
Property was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved shampoo and soap were provided. Great location for fishing close to rock creek and coopers creek
Great Place and great location! Just a few frowns!
The cabin was nice, very unique. Only complaints I have are the living room TV is very small, only time we were inside was when it was raining or we were cooking. But I believe the TV could be much bigger for that room. The sheets on one bed smelled like urine, we washed them before we slept in that particular bed. The Toccoa River runs down behind the cabin which is nice, but there were no stairs or paths that would allow you to reach the river for fishing or wading purposes, That was a bummer that we couldn't access the river more easily. But over all the location and the cabin was very clean. The directions were spot on too! I would and will definately rent from them again.
Everything was so perfect , so clean , I recommend this 100 % , you are going to find Everything there , just go to a market "Ingles" i recommend , and enjoy your stay.
This cottage is adorable! Exceptionally clean and a really well stocked (supplies) kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable. The grounds were really pretty. Wished we had more time there to just enjoy the cottage and outside area. Will definitely return and will stay longer to enjoy fully!
This cabin was perfect. The first (and most important thing to me) thing I noticed is how clean it is! It’s large enough for multiple people but still has a quaint feel. We absolutely loved the property and the sound of the river. I would definitely recommend this property!
Peaceful, quiet, comfortable cabin.
3 regular bedrooms with another room with a futon bed if you need.
2 Full bathrooms
Nice river/ stream in the backyard
We had more items available to us than we thought. We had laundry detergent and dryer sheets and coffee left for us. The refrigerator and washer and dryer were adequate. The internet wifi worked fast but not in every room (downstairs bathroom). There was a gas grill that looked nice but we did not use it. They also supplied little things like fishing poles and tackle and walking sticks. The TV was a little small but worked adequately with the Roku. There was a fireplace that seemed nice but we didn't use it because it's summer. The owner also provided us with a homemade guide book that was very useful. It gave us recommendations for places to visit and eat and had maps which were very useful because our cellphone signal was spotty there. The location is very rural. Very small country roads in the mountains. So I would bring the book in case you lose signal from your cellphone. The closest grocery store like Walmart or Ingles or Publix is about at least 40 minutes drive.
As for things to do, there were many waterfalls and walking trails within an hour drive from the cabin. We really liked Preacher's Rock and some of the waterfalls nearby. Some of the reviews said that Preacher's Rock was an easy hike but it wasn't for us. 😅🤣 Took us about an hour to get there walking from the parking lot.
The only thing we had a problem with is that the stairs are steep for us. So if you are older or have mobility problems then I would not recommend this place as you have to either go up or down to the bedrooms. And also we felt a little vulnerable because most of the windows do not have curtains so we felt a little exposed especially at night.
But overall we really enjoyed the cabin and had a great time exploring the area! Great for young people and families. If not in good condition to walk then I wouldn't recommend it.
Great cabin off the main track, but not out of the way. Has all the main essentials you could possibly need. Wonderful binder put together with a plethora of information on the area and things to see or do. Plenty of space for everyone, without being on top of each other. Relaxing site just off the river.
