"One of the best family and regional small hotel we have visited in 20 years in Crete. They really are very small hotel, familial style but they do their best to provide high level services: multiple pool, breakfast, sun towels. Amazing quality for price. Upon arrival there was no staff to welcome us - a text to the number on the locked door was quickly returned with a lock box code to grant us enterance to our studio apartment. The advertised laundry facilities were not available for use, the swimming pool while open was in great need of maintenance or filtering ( both) and as such was not an attractive option for the afternoon. The restaurant...

Myrion Beach Resort & Spa - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent
"Really enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely and I made use of the indoor gym which was small but well kitted out. The breakfast selection was good including dairy free options. I also had buffet dinner in the main dining room which was good but as I don’t eat meat, I think it lacked options with veg or fish."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Stratoi?
The best area to stay in Stratoi is the Old Town, particularly around the Venetian Harbour.

This area is the heart of Stratoi, known for its picturesque narrow streets, Venetian architecture, and its iconic lighthouse. The harbour itself is lined with restaurants and cafes, offering lovely views of the sea and the boats. You'll find many historical buildings and small shops tucked away in the side streets.

Couples often find the Old Town ideal for a romantic getaway. The evening strolls along the harbour, dining at waterfront tavernas, and exploring the charming alleys create a memorable experience. It's also easy to visit attractions like the Maritime Museum and the Firkas Fortress from here.

For those looking for a more relaxed, beach-focused stay with easy access to the Old Town, the Koum Kapi area, just east of the city walls, is a good option. It offers a nice beach promenade with cafes and restaurants, and you're still only a pleasant walk away from the harbour.
