North West Castle Hotel

"The staff were extremely pleasant and check in was flawless, we received an obviously recently renovated room and was fantastic with very tasteful decor, the Bluetooth mirror was a great touch! We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on food, but the pints in the bar were good. There is a games room and it’s quite well stocked including snooker, table tennis and an indoor bowls mat! There is also a a seasonal ice rink used for curling which would have been great to see but obviously not in June! The only negative would be a slightly dated lounge/dining area but there does appear to be renovations being done. We only stayed for a night but wouldn’t hesitate to stay again as it fitted our needs."

"Beautiful seaside Victorian hotel! Staff were stretched thin but very friendly, dinner and breakfast were great, high ceilings in the room, stunning views out the large original windows. Some parts of the room could maybe use a deep sanitize clean, bathroom had an odd aroma. Room and hotel were well appointed otherwise. The walk down to the lifeboat station at sunset was 👌and the hike to Dunskey castle the next morning was incredible."

"It’s an old property- if you love quirky you’ll love it. If you want pristine, you won’t. Food was fantastic for dinner and breakfast. Spent time talking to the owners who are fantastic people- including the son as chef. If character and informal brilliance are your thing go. If not don’t. And the views….."

"Had a lovely stay at the Waterfoot- all staff were really friendly and welcoming. Small room but clean and comfy. Ate both dinner and breakfast here and food was fantastic."

"First ever visit to Scotland. Blessed with amazing weather. Staff were friendly, talkative and helpful. The food was great. Port patrrick was calm, a great place to just relax, turn off and rest. Lovely cliff top walks. Would deffinatley return and stay at the harbour house hotel."

"The room was clean and bright and in good repair. Host was very kind and helpful. This is close to the ferry to Larne (about 10-25 minutes drive) which makes it very convenient. We could certainly stay here again. "

"The house was great for our family celebration. It was very clean and had everything we needed, we especially appreciated the excellent disabled facilities. It was a lovely touch receiving bread, milk and biscuits!Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and perfect for bringing everyone together."
