"We liked how clean and fresh this property was. We found it very comfortable. Milk, teabags, coffee, wheaten bread, butter, cheese, oil and spices were all provided, as well as fresh flowers. There was an abundance of local animals to enjoy watching: horses, cows, sheep and housemartins. The pool table in the sun room was a welcome addition. All the bedrooms were spacious with excellent quality bedding. The downstairs master suite was particularly attractive. We would love to return! "

"We had a wonderful stay at Kittyâ€™s cottage. The cottage is so homely and feels really welcoming. Itâ€™s lovely and warm, even when the weather outside was freezing. It was super clean and very well equipped. We loved walking on the beach, which is only moments away, with such beautiful views. Driving over Galloway forest park, we stopped to feed the goats and deer, which was wonderful. You need to take your own carrots or other fruit / veg to feed them. Galloway forest is also a dark skies...

"Nice room with a fantastic view of the harbour from the huge windows and balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was very good (although the haggis in the breakfast was rather sloppy). Would definitely stay here again."

"This was chalet in an incredible location. It had a fantastic quiet beach . There were great coastal footpath walks.The chalet was well equipped to accommodate 4 person. The views and privacy of the chalet were excellent.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area of Scotland."

"Ideally situated overlooking the harbour, this hotel offers sea views from its' restaurant and some bedrooms. I was, unexpectedly, given a self-catering apartment next door which meant that i had plenty of space with a lounge/kitchen area in addition to the bathroom and bedroom(s). The only problem was that the door into my apartment was really difficult to push open, hand and foot were required. This was certainly because of the heat, but I was surprised that cleaners etc. hadn't noticed and reported this before. I did report it but as I only had a one-night stay it couldn't be rectified during my visit. The food was excellent and the waitresses were good."

Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel

"Fantastic wild location - remote, but not too far from Stranraer. Some great local walks, and sunsets. The hotel is quiet, small and unique. Our dog was very welcome, and got extra treats for breakfast. The food was amazing - surprising, given the remote location. Room was clean and spacious, and the staff were all very friendly. There's an EV charger just next to the hotel, which was a welcome bonus. Definitely recommended."
