Hotel itself is fine. However, let down by the 4 pm check in time which is not great. The doors are locked until 4 pm so if you arrive before this and it is raining you get wet. There needs to be a way to check in before this, and be able to drop off your bags. It is more of pub than a hotel. The hotel has a life but it is very hit and miss to get it to start and sometimes it stops between floors. The room was fine just let down by check in at 4pm and no way of dropping off your luggage prior to this.

Stay somewhere else

The noice and the vibrations from the night club below the hotel kept me awake until 2AM. The staff at the night club help out with checking in but take no responsibility towards the hotel guests

Ett enkelt hotel, väldigt centralt och nära till allt. Mycket bra säng. Smidig incheckning via barpersonalen. Frukosten var helt okej, hade precis det man behöver. Bra att det fanns fläkt på rummet då mitt besök var mitt i värmeböljan

This particular Bishops Arms feels as though it isn't quite convinced that it's a hotel. There is no reception - one engages the attention of one of the staff in the bar. Once checked in however, the room is perfectly adequate, and, as it turned out, acceptably quiet, given that there is a pub downstairs and it was a weekend. Breakfast is fine (can't speak for the cooked food as we didn't sample it). There is carparking, but it isn't free.

Vi bokade Queensize men fick enkelsängar, inget annat fanns. Endast små dubbelrum har queensize, trots att det anges vid bokning att även de stora dubbelrummen har queensize. Personalen kände inte heller till detta utan det fick själva ta upptäcka vid rumsbyte. Tog extra tid för oss vid incheckning att byta rum flera gånger! Service i övrigt obefintlig på hotellet. Endast personal vid incheckning kort stund varje dag förutom frukostpersonal. Endast laktosfria mjölkprodukter fanns att tillgå! Märkligt med tanke på att en minoritet av gästerna lider av laktosintolerans! Märkligt att ta extra betalt för gårdsparkering, när hotellet i övrigt saknas service. Borde vara gratis, som kompensation för denna nackdel att hotellet drivs obemannat!

För att checka in fick vi trängas med mer eller mindre ”glada” pubgäster eftersom det är vid den disken man skulle anmäla sin ankomst. Det var några törstiga som tyckte att deras öl var viktigare än hotellets gäster och trängde sig före. Men rummet var bra, förvånansvärt tyst med tanke på publivet två trappor ner. Sköna sängar. Bra frukost och gott kaffe - de snålade inte med de dyra bönorna, något som vi stött på när vi övernattat på andra ställen.

Rummet vi hade i tredje våningen kan behöva renovering. Gamla möbler. Sofforna är slitna. Fanns bara en rullgardin så rummet var ganska ljus tidigt på morgonen. Vi upplevde att rummet var varmt, med tanke på att det är fortfarande vår och det är 19 grader ute så kan det nog bli riktigt varmt på sommaren.

Centralt hotell i Strängnäs

Jättebra läge och en väldigt trevlig kille som checkade in oss och sedan serverade oss i restaurangen. Hotellet har väl sett sina bästa dagar, rätt slitet och lite ofräscht. Men helt ok att bo där en natt. Läget är ju jättebra och skönt att bara kunna gå ner och äta direkt på Bishops, där maten var jättebra.

Hotell som sett bättre dagar.

Bra läge i centrala Strängnäs. Bra med parkerings möjligheterna och det finns två laddstationer för elbil. Personalen var fantastiskt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Rummet vi fick har sett sina bästa dagar och bör renoveras inom en snar framtid. Frukosten var okej och hade allt du behöver men för priset man betalat för en natt (1600) så bör det vara bättre rum och bättre frukost.

Första, enda och sista gången.

Detta sjapp prissatte sig som fyrstjärnigt men var knappt trestjärnigt. Sannolikt en gammal studentlänga som Bishops Arms tagit över och klassat om till hotell. Do not recommend!
