NOT Holiday Inn standards
Was very disappointed with this stay. I was treating my Parents to a weekend night as we drove 6 hours to iron mountain for football playoffs. The carpet in this room is so filthy it looked like it had not been cleaned in years. The hallways also were dirty. The door lock on the sliders was broke. Luckily there was a metal bar to keep in the slider. The TV was so small, I have not been to a room in years that had this small of a TV. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hrs. so that was about the only plus of this stay as we got there at 7:30. The breakfast the next morning was not hot, luck warm at bet. I was very disappointed and embarrassed at the room I had gotten for us. Will never stay again. I hope other Holiday Inns are not looking like this, they always had a good reputation.

Very nice hotel while staying in St. Ingnace. Room was lakeview and very comfortable and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This experience was poor die to upkeep of rooms and cleanliness, we came across old ripped sheets, clean but ripped, the kind of tear that you notice and need to replace, there were spiders in unit so the pest control is probably set up with the correct recurrence. There were nail trims, band aid on the floor so obviously the housekeeping is not diligent enough. Aside from that the rooms are old and tired, not what I would look forward to come back to. It is interesting because my family insisted on getting in a quaint local motel and I pushed onto the national brand hotel because of their higher standards nationwide but it backfired, seems like national chains perform poorly in smaller markets as they are not as busy, but when the experience is not consistent across markets systemwide then the brand hurts.

Pet owners be aware. Expedia says pet friendly, which they are, but once you get there they give you a form to say they’re going to charge you an extra $35 per night for “extra cleaning” because your pet. I couldn’t find it anywhere on my email or the booking site saying I’d be charged this. Expedia said they can’t do anything because it’s a charge from the property.

Lovely hotel, will return!
This is our second time staying here for Mini on the Mack. The hotel itself was clean and the check-in/check-out processes were smooth. We had adjoining rooms and our room was on the 1st floor facing the beach which was a bonus! I'm not sure if I specifically requested that but it was a nice surprise! The rooms were clean and they had Dove products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap) in refillable pumps. Mini fridge and and coffee maker were also available in each room. The included continental breakfast was great, included many hot and cold items. I would definitely return for future Mini on the Macks!

The hotel was in the perfect location. The view of the lake is incredible. The amenities are fabulous (like the pool and hot tub being open 24/7 and the great continental breakfast). We will absolutely stay here again.

When we arrived and brought our things into the room, we found pieces of nail clippings and other dirt on the carpet that if vacuumed, would not have been there. And when we returned to our room after our activities our room had the bed linens pulled up, but all the pillows were not touched and left where we left them. Also we had poured out coffee in the sink before we left in the morning and the coffee spots were still in the sink when we returned later that day (after the bed sheets had been pulled up only). Definitely could have been cleaner in the room with very little effort.

Wonderful area with beautiful scenery. Staff was helpful, friendly. Carpet needs replaced in common areas and rooms could use an update (new tvs phones were not working) but highly recommend and would stay here again

This was our first time visiting the Upper Peninsula and we selected the Holiday Inn Express in St. Ignace for ease of location, convenience, amenities, and the ability to bring our dog. Great service, amazing access to lake with own private beach, room was in good condition and clean overall, and the breakfast was plentiful and consistent. We loved it. We will absolutely be back in the future!

It's a regular holiday Inn express. Nothing special. Coffee was terrible though. Nice beach access of you're on the first floor. Kind of walkable to downtown. About a mile. If you're above the second floor, the hallway is 1000 degrees during the day. They should do something about that.

The waterfront rooms were very enjoyable. Well maintained, beautiful views, comfortable seating are to enjoy the fire pit or the views of Lake Huron
