Our Ranch style home sits on 1.5 acres just 1 mile off Stoutsville boat ramp. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, this home offers openness and privacy.

This vacation home has an open floor plan with a front porch for sitting and back patio for gathering. A large two car garage is a bonus for your vehicle or boat storage. A fire pit is also available for evening enjoyment.

Mark Twain lake house

Wonderful, very well equipped house. Property is nice and private. We brought our dog and was great for him to explore and run around. Nice garage setup with a pac man video game as a nice surprise. Will definately stay here again.

Great getaway spot in the middle of farm land.

The place was extremely comfortable an cozy for my family of 9. The yard was fantastic. For the first time we let our dog loose, and she loved running around and greeting the neighboring cows in the morning. The kitchen had plenty of space. We used both the gas and charcoal grills. It was just the place we needed to bond and share together as a family. The place was close to the lake so getting there was a breeze. For anyone looking for a peaceful family getaway, this is the place for you!

Nice, quiet getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Place was clean and quietly tucked away. Comfortably fit my family of four and our friend's family of four.

Quiet and secluded

This is a great property if you are looking for a quiet private place to spend time with your family. The owners were upfront with any issues we might run into during our stay, in regards to the house. The doors don’t latch well and there are a lot of open outlets so if you have wondering toddlers keep this in mind. Over all it was a very nice stay.

Amazing Quiet Getaway

Great Spot!

This was a great spot! Property was great, the house was clean and spacious, with plenty of amenities. I was so grateful to find a place that we could bring our dog. Host was very prompt in message. I really appreciated everything!

The house and location was beautiful! We loved that we could bring our fur babies with us they really enjoyed the huge yard. The house was clean and spacious and we were so excited about the ping pong table!

Repeat Visitor!

This was our 3rd stay. We love the peace and quiet. The house is in great shape and spectacularly clean. Close to beaches and Waterzone and anything one might want to do outdoors. Also perfect if you've had a busy day at the lake and just want to be lazy and watch tv. The house has become a July tradition.

Beautiful property

The GPS took us to the wrong house but the neighbor gave us directions with no guff. House was perfect and love the decor! Clean and great amenities. Not a fan of fabuloso cleaning products but not too overwhelming. Love having plenty of clean towels and linens. Lots of cooking utensils and supplies. Clean and comfortable furniture. Large accessible garage. Just a beautiful home!

Thanksgiving in Hannibal

The house was lovely and accomodating with so much room to spread out. Our grandchildren enjoyed the games in the garage. We shared our Thanksgiving dinner at the dining table and played games as well. We watched Christmas movies on the big screen. Our pups enjoyed relaxing on the oversized ottoman! A day trip to Hannibal for Mark Twain's birthday, shopping and a meal were the highlight of our trip! Despite a couple of hiccups, we enjoyed our stay and would recomend the house to others.

A Gem at the Lake

This was our 2nd time to stay at Holder House. The house is well kept, the beds are cozy, the kitchen has everything you need, and all It feels like home away from home there. We love going to Spaulding and Indian Creek beaches, Water Zone, and hiking at the park. Not only is it great inside, the property is in great condition and very relaxing to stay there. We live only 35 minutes away and make day trips but there's just something about the house and staying there that makes it more fun. The property owners are quick to respond to questions which is most helpful. Thanks for all you do!
