"I think it's important to know this is someone's house with a few hotel rooms upstairs. There are some less-than-ideal aspects. The place is very echoey, so if the owners are entertaining downstairs you will hear it in your room. The lighting is very harsh, bright white, which is a big no for me personally. "After confirming my reservation 24 hours before my stay as required I was told 6 hours before the stay they did not have any rooms. Whats the point of paying in advance for a reservation if its not GUARANTEED. Now two weeks later I still dont have a refund as Hotels.com say it was a non refundable stay, which it was if I did not turn up. That if I had turned up and there was no room is too complex for them to establish. Avoid this place like the plague"

The one weird thing is the number of times the hotel tried to contact me before my check-in. It was quite a nuisance. They emailed to confirm and then phoned me twice on the day of check-in.
