Oma's Garden Oasis: Spacious, Close to Downtown

Oma's Garden Oasis is conveniently located in a quaint neighborhood with easy access to Downtown and Gypsy Hill Park. With three spacious bedrooms, and large living area, this spot is perfect for the entire family. Enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces and take a stroll to all of the eateries and shops that Downtown Staunton has to offer! This house is also dog friendly with a so please bring your pup along for a stay!

Oma's Garden Oasis is a large home, bursting with character and spacious rooms. The layout is broken down below:

FIRST FLOOR:
LIVING ROOM - Sectional sofa (comfortably seats 4), 2 arm chairs, rocking chair, free library stocked with books, games, smart TV (please login to your own streaming accounts), and Alexa.

KITCHEN - Fully stocked kitchen with all major appliances, drip coffee pot, and tea kettle.

DINING ROOM - Large dining table with seating for 8.

BATHROOM 1 - Located on the main floor off of the dining room, full bathroom with shower stall.

SUN ROOM - Overlooks the backyard gardens with seating for 5.

BACKYARD GARDEN - There is little to no grass at this property, but please feel free to peruse the garden area in the back. Note that there is a long-term tenant that lives in the lower unit of this home, though you have full access and privacy with the gardens.

LAUNDRY - Laundry is located in a closet of the front porch. You will have to go outside to access it (located in the door to the left of the front door).

SECOND FLOOR:
BEDROOM 1 - King bed nightstands with lamps, dresser, and smart TV

BEDROOM 2 - Queen bed, nightstands with lamps, dresser, vanity with mirror, smart TV

BEDROOM 3 - Two twin beds, nightstands with lamps, dresser, smart TV

BATHROOM 2 - Full bathroom with combination shower/tub

Please note that there is a basement apartment unit that is rented, as well. The home does not have central AC, each room has its own portable AC unit that works quite well.

Great stay

The house is clean and friendly in a nice neighborhood. The extras, like having shampoo, body wash, kitchen basics, etc. was very nice. Great place to stay!

Staunton Visit to Family

We enjoyed our stay at your home. The location was 5 minutes from my sisters' home, and the neighborhood was quiet and quaint. We miss Virginia!

Oma’s Garden Oasis

This is our 2nd stay at Oma’s Garden for a Thanksgiving family gathering. We enjoyed our stay even more than last year. We appreciate the proximity and easy walking distance to downtown, the large dining room, kitchen and sun porch. The super comfortable beds, blankets and linens. Definitely recommend!

Comfortable and Convenient

This was a girls' trip to catch up with friends. The area was safe, a short drive to downtown shopping, restaurants and attractions and the house was clean, charming and comfortable.

Relaxing overnight

Clean, spacious, enjoyable!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Oma's Garden Oasis. It was sparkling clean, the rooms are spacious, the mattresses and pillows comfy, and bed and bath linens are good quality. There are nice touches like organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash and large televisions in each bedroom. Our host Jamie of Be Still Getaways responded promptly to a few questions we had. Highly recommend and we will stay there again!

Wedding weekend in Staunton

Our daughter was married in Staunton on Saturday. We stayed in Oma’s garden as our “home base” for all the needs of our exciting and busy event. The house was clean, comfortable and cool. The sun room made for beautiful pictures of our daughter on her wedding day. Thankyou for being a part of our families special day and giving us a place to relax and feel at home.

The best VRBO

We had great time staying at Oma’s place. She has beautiful English style garden. The house is a perfect size for our family of four although it could accommodate a larger family. The bedrooms are good and roomy with ver comfortable beds. It has a large kitchen and a separate dining room. The neighborhood is very nice with a tone of character (similar to the historic district in Charleston). Staunton is a cool quaint town with neat shops in downtown area. We had an excellent experience and enjoyed our stay. Thank you Oma for letting us stay at your place.

Staunton Train Trip

Came to Staunton to take a train ride. The House was very nice. Had everything we needed. The door on the back patio, glass panel would not stay up (just FYI). We also could not figure out how to turn the base board heat off in there - turned the knob to several places and it would not go off. Very minor issues. We loved the neighborhood, the birds and blooming flowers and trees. Very quiet and peaceful.

Lovely accommodations for up to 6 adults with plenty of room to hang out together or find a corner to read a book.Beds were comfortable and kitchen was large. Walking distance to town. A great stay overall.

Nice House in a Convenient Location

The house was roomy with a ton of welcoming extras (books and games) to keep the kids very busy. Communication with the property manager was excellent and fast.

House has a lot of living space. Would work great if we had kids with us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location of the house is close to shopping and food. Parking is on a steep hill and carrying luggage in and out of the house was a little challenging. The only other issue we had was all bedrooms are upstairs and the stairway is difficult if anyone has a problem climbing stairs.
