"After reading lots of negative reviews, I was worried my room not meeting our expectations. I booked a two bedroom villa. I was pleasantly surprised upon check in that we got our suite in the Ridge Pointe building. The two bedroom villa is a one bedroom suite with full kitchen and a studio combined. The rooms are renovated with a fireplace and washer/dryer in unit. Bathroom toiletries are decent quality Dove products. The balcony overlook the mountain and ski runs. The views are fantastic. Location is wonderful too. It's 2 minute drive to Stagecoach lift or a 10 minute downhill walk. We didn't need to use the shuttle service. We used the sauna and pool table in the building and enjoyed them too. Service was great when we requested additional blankets. Overall we had a perfect stay because of the building that we were luckily assigned to. So I am giving five stars. I just wish this property advertised with the pictures of what you will really get."

"An adorable place, my family and I enjoyed our stay so much, the kids had a blast. The house basically has everything you need in terms of comfort; the bedrooms have blankets, furniture for storing your clothes, and a TV. The living room has sofas, a TV, and internet access, and the kitchen has all the cooking utensils you could need, so practically the only thing you have to worry about is bringing the ingredients for whatever you want to cook. Something I loved was the jacuzzi."

"The resort was on the older side. Typical of what you see and expect. Elevator glass missing. Hallway ceiling lamps torn, in room furniture has holes, cuts in the leather, outlets are worn and electrical devices ( iPad, laptop etc) need to be adjusted to have good contact to charge. Bathroom is very clean and modern! That’s the funny part? Hahaha Staffs were very friendly and accommodating! Here is the bottom line truth. If you are here to enjoy Tahoe… Hike, Ski, Casino etc…. Things that are outdoors… and you’re only using the hotel as a place to sleep, bath etc…. Then it’s great. But if you come here thinking your hotel is similar to staying at the Grand Marriot or Hilton… you will be disappointed. Would I come again and stay at the same hotel. The answer is yes. The price was reasonable. "

"Issues from the moment we checked in. I'll ignore small stuff like vomit in the shared laundry room, overflowing garbage and limited covered parking. I will focus however on more critical things like heating and communication with the facility management. The heating didn't work. The staff and the host were reaponsive to text and sent someone over to check it who couldn't fix the problem. They never followed back and I had to keep nagging them to provide an update. They kept sending someone to take a look and every time they looked at the same thing and went away without saying anything. When pressed, one of them confessed that the building was renovated but they skipped on fixing the heating issue and that it's a known issue in several units and that they have no fix. Then the actual humiliation began. We were traveling with two small children and lack of heating (apart from one fireplace that heated up the living room which we couldn't keep on for safety reasons) was a real problem in Tahoe winter. The host has never been to the unit and couldn't really help. He basically told us and I quote to "shut up and stop complaining" and that it's our responsibility to bring warm clothes to our vacation. The mgmt said we're not cooperative because one time out of the 6-7 times they sent someone over we couldn't let them in because it was after 10pm and kids were sleeping. Then their manager said unit was not supposed to be rented bc of the known issues. We left early. BEWARE"
