"Disgusting room, blankets had cigarette holes in them. Lamp shades were dirty. Only one lamp in the room worked. I booked a non smoking room, got put in a smoking room and was told “nothing can be done” Staff Saturday night was extremely rude. This is normally a main stay on race weekends I will be seeking other hotels. The manager has yet to contact me after being told several times they will. There were cigarette ashes all over our room, no phone to call the office. Bathroom was filthy. TV barely worked. And the hotel has done absolutely nothing to accommodate me for this. "

"Great location for accessing both Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain state parks. Kitchen is well stocked with things you need for cooking your own meals. Outdoor hangout spots include a front porch with rockers and glide bench, back deck with grill and table and a side patio with a firepit! Very clean, well kept!"

"Basic motel but well-run and affordable. Plenty of fast-food and other restaurant options nearby. Bring earplugs or a white-noise machine for highway and neighbor noise."

"This house was perfect for a weekend with friends. The kitchen is well equipped. The dining room easily seats eight (or ten cozy). The bed rooms are private and spacious. Best of all is the VIEW - It is awesome! The host was a great communicator. We enjoued the hot tub and the great room is nice. Everyone enjoyed the place and after a weekend together on Groundhog Mtn our friendships were enriched."

"We had a fabulous stay here! Eric and Karen are wonderful host and the cabin was just as described. It was exactly what we needed and it was so peaceful. The bed slept wonderful! And we enjoyed our coffee on the screened in porch! We have found a new weekend getaway! We will be back soon! "
