"We stayed for a night for my birthday and my father in laws birthday and we spent the afternoon in front of the fire which was so cosy and relaxing. We then had dinner and had the famous ribs…we were all blown away by the quantity and quality of meat. The staff were incredibly friendly! The room we stayed in was huge and comfortable. Definitely will be returning! A fabulous stay. "

"My friend and I had a lovely stay here last night. We arrived in the afternoon and were warmly welcomed by Karen. We were really well looked after by Karen and her team and nothing was too much trouble. "Have stayed a few times over the years, the room was nice, but could do with a make over, and the shower needs something doing with it, it isn't a walk in shower, more like a climb in. "A nice family stay, quiet village pub. The host was very helpful including recommending an evening meal in the next village which was great (fighting cocks pub). It seems the venue has stopped doing food, but having said that she still provided us with a perfectly good breakfast. The room was clean, a nice little street village view, we all slept well. Great for country walking, a family visit and somewhere quieter in a local pub."

"We were made to feel welcome by Amy on reception. She told us everything we needed to know and was particularly helpful with a monor problem we had. Our room was comfortable and also very quiet. There was good parking facilities and the Miller and Carter was opposite for an evening meal. We had a good breakfast which was buffet style."
