"Beautiful hotel. Smelled so good when you enter. Very clean and room was nice. Pool was warm. Sauna decent. Cons, room was stuffy and unable to open a. Window. Ice maker wasn't working and neither was the Jacuzzi. I paid paid extra for breakfast, and this was by the far the most pitiful breakfast. Bagels. That's it. No coffee. Orange juice was terrible. But I would come again to enjoy the quiet and ambiance."

"Our stay was horrible. This hotel is very run down. Our room smelled like dirty feet, the carpet smelled like vomit, the sink in the bathroom was about to fall, the TV and the phone did not work. One of the two elevators was not working and it took multiple tries to be able to get a ride down. And in order to reach the elevator banks from the front door we had to walk up two short flights of stairs with our bags as the elevator was not working. The one bright spot was that the staff was nice."

"The hotel room was not well maintained. There was no microwave where there should have been one. The mini fridge below where the microwave should have been was clean but a bit wobbly. There was only one towel in the bathroom upon arrival and the bottom part of handicap bar in the shower was not attached. I went to grab onto it while showering and it swung to the right almost causing me to fall. Later on, I went to the front office to ask for more towels because they do not have phones in the hotel room to call the front desk. Once back in the room, I noticed a brown stain on one of the towels the person at the front desk had just given me."

"The staff is excellent I give the staff 10 Stars but the owner gets maybe two stars the rooms need to be remodeled you cannot have carpet down and then put carpet on top of it the height stains and you have to clean the carpets they have something called faux wood. Which I recommend putting in the rooms and you can put throw carpets on top of it.... And the windows need to be washed.... Other than that it's okay... For the price of $140 a night"

"Checking in at the front desk, which had a Plexiglass screen, did not give a good first impression. While we were checking in, another guest was complaining to another receptionist about the fact that he had been at the hotel for 3 days and that the TV in his room was still not working despite having complained each day. From there, we took the elevator, which was painted red in the company colors. However, there was a 2 - 3 square inch section of the red paint that had flaked off revealing part of the previous owner's logo. From there, we got off the elevator at the 4th floor and walked along the corridor to our room. Halfway to our room, There was a plastic waste bin in the middle of the floor to catch water dripping from the ceiling. the mattresses in our room were decades old. That said, we slept OK, but on the way out, there was only coffee available. Breakfast is not served. Definitely not up to the standard of other hotels in the area."

"I just returned from my first stay at the Stamford and can only say great things about the staff, particularly the front desk people. Daniel (front desk manager) and Maria were unfailingly helpful no matter how trivial the question, and that set the tone for my five-day visit. I'll be traveling to Stamford regularly over the next several weeks and have already booked my next reservation."
