"Property offered no driveway parking or driveway at all. Street side parking would be narrow and duplex is barely off the road. We had three motorcycles and were told we could have parked on the grass. Never even received check in instructions. Not a nice neighborhood, there's a reason there's no exterior pictures. Ended up not even staying there and haven't been able to get a refund. DO yourself a favor and just get a hotel in Fortuna a few miles up the road. "

"The homestead farm house was a fantastic rental. Our whole group enjoyed it. It was decorated beautifully preserving the history of the building and adding new fresh design touches. Each room was comfortable and everything worked well!"

A trip to Headwaters Forest, one or two trips to the Humboldt National Wildlife Refuge, out the Petrolia Road, out to the beach, shopping in Old Town Eureka, a visit to the Arcata Farmers Market--what's not to love? Sharon and Sylvia are thoughtful hosts and this is truly a unique property."

We especially appreciated the large kitchen and dining room as we prepared all of our meals at the house. The location was ideal in downtown Fortuna, close to Fortuna High School. The house was well-stocked and clean. Would definitely stay again. I would note that 2 of the beds appear to be double beds instead of Queen-sized."

"Having just packed up from an 8-day camping trip, the sweet, comfy and very private living room and bedroom suite above the garage was perfect for me. The rooms were very clean, there was plenty of hot water, the towels were new and soft and the Dish TV service excellent--plus the hosts kind and attentive. I hope to return to charming Ferndale one day, and enjoy staying at the old inn once again. "

For breakfast they had both a waffle and a pancake maker, whipped cream and even chocolate sprinkles. Along with a pretty decent frittata and potatoes. Plenty of other options including cereal, toast, and (packaged) muffins. Room was quiet and beds and bedding were clean and comfortable."
