Absolute paradise!

This property is gorgeous! It is the nicest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. I hope that others will continue to take care of and respect the owners property. Fresh flowers and plants everywhere were such a nice touch. It felt more like a home than a rental! Make sure you read carefully, the golf cart is not included but there is plenty to rent nearby! Plenty of parking is available too! We will definitely be back!!

Nice place but extra charges not transparent

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place is comfortable and very nicely decorated. However, I received a separate charge from them after paying in full for 20 cents because of some county tax increase on vacation rentals. We also stayed at another house on the island for 2 days as part of this same trip but they did not charge the additional tax. I just received an email stating they were charging me extra for it. I thought that was tacky as 20 cents surely could be absorbed by the high price we already paid to stay here. Then when we asked for an early check in I was told twice, once on the phone and once in text message, that the price was $60 for early check in, no mention of additional taxes, and then my card was charged $75 for early check in! They said they had to charge tax. Why didn’t they tell me this on the phone? I wouldn’t have wanted to check in a couple hours early for that amount, but I wasn’t given a choice, again just charged my card and they wouldn’t remove the extra $15 charge even when I talked to them about it. I felt like they took any opportunity to charge more than agreed upon. Tacky. I don’t mind paying a high price to stay somewhere I want at the agreed upon rates, but I do mind when they aren’t transparent about charges. Also, there were giant ants everywhere even in my bed.
