East Beach, Screened Porch, Walk to Beach!

This single level family home is a classic older East Beach Cottage known as "Family Tides"! Located towards the tip end of East Beach, the walk to Goulds Inlet is just a block away! Entering this home you are immediately brought back to a bygone era with the knotty wood paneling, classic tiled bathrooms and wood flooring.

Three bedrooms are down the hallway to the left and are all comfortably furnished with 2 king beds plus bunks and one bedroom with a queen bed. The 4th bedroom with a king bed is on the opposite side of the home off the living area complete with an ensuite bath. This bedroom provides an armoir and dresser to accommodate your personal effects. The kitchen is a throwback style as well with basic appliances limited in size. A dining area separates the kitchen from the living area. The screened in porch on the back is the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee or an evening cocktail overlooking the large fenced in backyard. Great space for the kids or family pet. A firepit is available for spring and fall/winter outdoor fires!

Please note that this property does have a doorbell camera for security purposes.

There is a Keurig and regular coffee maker for coffee lovers!

A little history about our home: Family Tides is a classic older East Beach Cottage. Many members of the Long Family have lived on “The Island”, since the 40's! We have owned this beloved cottage since 1982. Our family spent all of our summers at Family Tides when their children were growing up. The grandchildren have also been raised enjoying their time at the beach home. We are so blessed to have made so many special memories at Family Tides, together. Wow, if only our home could talk, you would hear so many wonderful adventures of all our years spent at Family Tides and on this island. This is our family's “Happy Place”. Now, we would like to share our beloved home and the island with you! Come enjoy this mystical island and our home to make your own memories!

Nice nieghborhood

Situated on a island in a pleasant neighborhood, a block from the beach. Nice single-story home with pretty backyard. The living room is great for gathering and talking. Kitchen is tremendously well stocked with tools and service sets. Feels like home. Check-in/out seamless, and great communication with management through text.

Musty smell, photos “enhanced”, fine location

Walking in was a huge disappointment from what the pictures show. Sleeps 12 in beds, advertised as 14. The house has a moisture problem, so unless someone empties the dehumidifier every day, the musty smell permeates everything. Ample outdoor space, it’s an 80s house. The kitchen has the necessary, and after I dug around in the jam-packed, cluttered cupboards, I found what I needed. Tons of baking things, but no tea pot. It’s an older with an older kitchen. in the beds.

Great location!!!! Beds were decent, kitchen is usable, washer and dryer are in kitchen. No hand rails on any of the steps leading into the property, which wouldn't have been a problem it I hadn't injured myself having fun at the beach. Bathrooms are nice, couches in family room are worn out, only basic roku channels on tv so no local channels or sports. The gas grill ran out of propane and it took 48 hours to have a new one delivered. Would I stay there again,,, yes! At this price point for the size and location it's great.

Overall everything was great. The ice maker needs to be repaired. Having it work would have been nice. It was an exceptional value! We were pleased. We had to repair a leak on the kitchen sink drain and we also cleaned a couple of spots (we did not make) on the carpet in one of the bedrooms. The arm on one of the living room chairs is also broken. It was hanging off the side of the chair when we arrived.
