Upon arrival I was told I they were overbooked and to contact Expedia and they would help me find other lodging. Which never happened. We ended up having to cut our visit with relatives from Chicago short and drive over 2 hours back home very disappointed in this motel and Expedia. Will never use them again for a Hotel/Motel

They over booked and canceled my reservation that was made two months in advance. I was left with no place to stay upon arrival.
Made a reservation through Expedia dispute several others saying they were overbooked and then had a hard time getting a room. It happened to us! They were overbooked, acted as if no problem. Has a look for a room ourselves, didn’t seem to feel it was their responsibility. Valentines weekend. NOTHING available for miles around!!! Ended up with a room at the Swashbuckler but not ready for several
Hours. Just seems it a practice to overbook, nobody wants to have to worry if their reservation is secure or not!
My husband and I booked with hotels.com. And the day we arrive we were informed (along with 4 other people) that they were totally booked and no rooms were availabe!! This was new years eve!! So not alot of choices. We ended up finding a room with the help of the hotel we were supposed to stay at. But ... Cost us double what we were wanting to spend!! If you use this website. Take the time to call the place you booked. To see if hotel.com over booked them.

Disliked: Staff & service
Horrible experience.
We arrived at 4pm to checkin. There was a note on the door to call “Kathy” upon arrival. We called and texted for 2 hours with no reply or answer. After waiting outside for an hour and 45 mins a maintenance man was nice enough to help us into a room. Several hours later we finally got a text from Kathy saying that Expedia.com overbooked the hotel and that we should contact them because they would not have a room available to us. We did NOT book though Expedia! This after we had already received a key.
I understand that these glitches happen but to avoid your customers so that you don’t have the confrontation is a horrible and very unprofessional way to do business. We will NEVER even think about staying at this property again. Absolutely horrible experience.

Property was over booked. We were sent to a different motel that cost more.
Great stay. Kathy at front desk was pleasant and told me about the room and facilities when she showed me to my room. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Located right across from beach.
The rooms were very small we actually got upgraded from a regular motel room to a suite you had to squeeze between the refrigerator and the stove go around the corner to get to the bathroom in the room and the shower barely run any water out the hot and cold handles for the shower we're down where a bathtub should be as if a tub was still there as if they had a tub there at one time and removed it and stuck a shower in instead. The staff was awesome that it had rained the night before and then all day the next day and that night no one ever clean the leaves out of the pool and we were not comfortable getting in a swimming pool with it full of leaves from the oak tree.
Affordable rates, great location. They have traditional motel rooms and apts that are fully stocked. Plenty of room for the whole family. The beach is right across the street.
I liked that the staff was very proper and helpful with everything. I liked the texting the staff if we needed anything. Was over all nice place and stay,
We were very disappointed. It was really bad, but we had no choice. It was late and we couldn't find anyplace else that could accommodate us. We needed 3 separate sleeping beds. There was a bed, a sofa-bed and we had an air mattress on the floor. We were given room #6. It smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom sink had burn marks. They used air freshener to mask the odor but it just made it worse. The sofa was really dirty. The kitchen we decided not to use at all because it needed a good scrubbing. We moved an ottoman and found a used q-tip and dust bunnies underneath. It could be a really nice place if they clean it up and renovate. It's across the street from a nice beach. The lady in the office was very nice and friendly, but honestly would not stay here again.
