Our fourth time staying at the Double Tree and we really enjoyed it. Always a treat to be able to dine at Little Sparo where the staff are wonderful ( and many of the wait staff recognize us and even remember our preferred food and drink! ) The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. We often travel with our dog and he’s also treated like a guest (with treats) -we love Double Tree’s signature warmed chocolate chip and walnut cookies as a welcoming treat.

It was a wonderful overall stay and experience the staff could do a little better with explaining things they did not explain the times for room service and the restaurant also didn’t explain the safe in the room and how to program or use it and didn’t explain that not every floor had an ice machine only on the second floor and it should be posted but the rooms were very clean comfortable and the housekeeping staff was friendly and clean and made sure to help keep the rooms stocked with fresh towels and supplies would recommend this hotel to others

Stay was great but paying all that money for two nights just to be told you had to pay for parking you’d think that would be included but other then that had a great experience with the hotel!

Terry, I am glad you were able to have a memorable stay at our hotel. The weather isn't cooperating much yet but later if you join us again you will get to experience the downtown and the harbour when you don't have to walk through the snow. It is still interesting but different when you can go about when it is warmer. Thank you for the excellent review.

We were greeted with fresh baked sweets, and the hotel manager checked in and messaged twice during our 1 week stay to ensure we had no complaints and had everything we needed. The facilities are SO clean, and the location is insanely convenient; right on the water. In house restaurant is easily in the top 5 places to eat in downtown St. John's.

Gorgeous hotel, very clean and cozy. We are from away so enjoyed the location as we could walk and explore. Staff were all kind but not overly friendly.

The past 2 weeks were part of the St. Patty's celebrations and therefore the staff were extremely busy. I hope the next time you visit we won't be so rushed.
The Doubletree exceeded my expectations. Nice, clean rooms with lovely rain showers. I opted for a Harbourview room which was beautiful but there is some early morning noise from forklifts etc working on the docks. Staff was great, I only ate breakfast at the hotel but it was very good and the coffees were amazing. Great, walkable area. Would stay again!

Jillian, with parking areas in the downtown area so limited all of the hotels are now charging. The city even limits the hourly time you can park on the streets in the downtown region. St Parick's weekend is extremely popular. This causes the desk to be extremely busy. The desk clerk may have been overwhelmed and may have seemed off due to this. We do apologize.

Really nice stay. Worth noting that, in our experience, the harbourview room was quite noisy at night from the trucks at the harbour.

Service was great! Easy check in and everything was as advertised and clean! Only downside is the noisy older A/C unit but I had ear plugs so that helped!

It was a lovely stay! Love the nautical theme on the room and the modern design. The bed was super comfortable and of course the famous Doubletree cookie was amazing.

This property has a nice restaurant, but I would not sty here again! Rooms are cold and dark. It is currently being occupied by refugees and no mention of that when booking.I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Regarding your comment about the refugees staying at the hotel, we believe in providing comfortable and safe accommodation for all guests, regardless of their background or circumstances. We do not advertise this specifically on our booking platforms as we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Our vehicle was damaged in underground parking. Staff would not check security cameras to assist in situation. The shower was mouldy and rooms were dingy. Staff were not friendly or helpful.
