"Overall, we enjoyed our time and the condo was nice. There was construction going on that we did not expect, but it did not cause too much of a disturbance. Good news is…looks like they are upgrading, so things will be even nicer for the next visitors."

"Truly an island experience surrounded by tropical vegetation and coastal trees! Very private. Loved the fence for my dog. Great sea decor and charming key west/surfer shack appeal. Decks around home a joy, steps were easy. It is tight for 4 adults, but doable. Son appreciated his private downstairs lair. Kitchen well stocked but beware the holes in oven mitt (I got burned). Dishwasher, W/D, fridge, oven and appliances all worked great. AC nice and chilly on that hot island. Beds comfy, but not a fan of microfiber polyester sheets on summer skin (I brought my own cotton sheets)...and the pillows a bit flat. House shower a "rain" type but the outdoor shower strong. Nice updates done. Never got bit by any bugs even on upper open deck. Our hosts were responsive and kind and quite generous with their policies (VRBO can be a mixed bag...these hosts are easy to deal with and everything reasonable). Thank you so much...can't wait to get back :)"

"The staff was very friendly. The room was not as “renovated” as we expected, but it was ok for its age. We will definitely stay again. (Pet friendly rooms are not beachside- the view is the parking lot)."

"My husband, our dog, and I stayed at Blue Whale for two weeks, and it was a wonderful experience. In our opinion, Blue Whale is one of the best values on St. George Island.The location is perfect; there's a beautiful view of the ocean and direct beach access right across the street. It's also within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything you need, while still being far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.The house is older, but it is comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing two-week stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and the kitchen had everything necessary for preparing meals.Mr. Matthews, the owner, was outstanding. He was always available, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We truly appreciated his hospitality and attention to detail.We would definitely stay at Blue Whale again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and perfectly located beach cottage on St. George Island."

"This house is RIGHT on the beach and everything is within walking distance! The bedroom with twin beds is a loft, which is the only thing we would have liked to know before arriving. Highly recommend!"

"It was very to easy to find it. Awesome location, very quite area, with a beautiful view. The host was wonderful, friendly! Very clean room and bathroom. Beautiful sunsets! They had a few shops nearby, we rented bikes and delivered to our place and picked it up."
