Neighborhood overview: The Lincolnville Historic District neighborhood is a friendly and welcoming residential community filled with charming architecture and personalities. You will find that the neighborhood is diverse with many interesting people of various backgrounds, and that they care about their community. There are several active and welcoming churches in the Lincolnville Historic District, one of which can be seen from the front of the cottage, so close that you can clearly hear the choir on Sunday from the porch. There are four (4) restaurants in the Lincolnville Historic District- The Blue Hen; the Ice Plant Bar; The Preserved; and Crave Food Truck. Lincolnville was a victim of redlining by the Federal Government and the private sector, the evidence of which still exists to this day. I encourage anyone who is not familiar with the practice of redlining to probe the subject. Bear in mind that St. Augustine is over 450 years old, and every neighborhood in Downtown St. Augustine has buildings that are in disrepair and could use a bit of work, including Lincolnville. If you don't wish see buildings that are architecturally contributing while perhaps in need of a little or a lot of work, then Lincolnville, or other neighborhoods Downtown, may not be the correct fit for you. Lincolnville in particular is experiencing a period of revitalization, so don't allow the derelict architecturally contributing buildings deter you from the rich history that the neighborhood and Downtown have to offer.
I live close to my rental property, and am available 24/7 to respond to any issues or concerns.
As your host, you can expect that I will NOT come onto the property unannounced. The only exception could be when I pull the trash and recycling carts to the street for collection. Trash is collected on Tuesday, and recycling on Friday. Usually I contact guests before I pull the carts, but sometimes I forget. Trash carts live in the side of the front yard.
If I need to do something such as cut the grass, water the plants, or retrieve something from the storage shed, I will contact the guest in advance. I don't wish to cause a disturbance, so if another time is better for you just let me know.

I highly recommend staying here! My family and I were able to walk to and from everything there is to see around the area without having to worry about driving on the busy streets and finding parking. The house was beautiful and very clean.
We had a great stay! It was nice to be able to walk to everywhere we needed to and not have to worry about parking especially with the crowds from Nights of Lights. The place was clean and had everything we needed. From young to old, we all loved it! Thank you again Blake!
The whole place was spotless. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Everything was user friendly. The convenience of being able to walk to St. George Street was a bonus. The host was quick to respond to my questions which I found shocking. I will definitely stay there again for my future visits.
Host was very nice and attentive about anything we needed. Location was fantastic as we were able to walk to most everything and neighborhood was very quite with old world charm. House was well kept and had e erything we needed. Will definitely be back.
Super close to the historic district! The house is in a great location, but still very quiet at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Wach bedroom has its own full bathroom so it works great for families. There's plenty of space to spread out in the living room. We didn't use the kitchen, but it was fully stocked with pot/pans/utensils.Blake was a great host, would definitely stay here again.
This is the second time we have stayed at Shotgun House while in town for concerts at the St. Aug. Amphitheater. The location is excellent (restaurants, brewery, downtown) and the house is really nice. Lincolntown is a very cool place to stay, lots of neat houses and history. The host is also excellent and responds quickly to any questions. Highly recommend the place!
Lovely house, all the amenities we needed, very clean, and great communication from the Blake. Easy walk to all the sites in St Augustine. Parking was easy, left the car for the whole of our stay in front of the house.
We had a wonderful time in St. Augustine. The house was super cute and comfortable! It was located close enough to the downtown area and we loved the neighborhood bar Dog Rose.
Location was perfect! Blake was kind and attentive. I love that it had two bathrooms making it the perfect little place for us to share with another couple for our weekend trip. And we liked the cute little porches off the front and back. We will definitely tell family and friends and we WILL be back!
Stayed here to check my Daughter into Flagler College. This was a great spot and walking distance to many restaurants and shops including the College. Our host was very helpful and accommodating. Would stay here again. Highly recommend!
This was a wonderful trip for us! Great property, very clean, central location, the host was so accommodating, and overall we had an incredible time and can't wait to come back!
