Dear Guests, let us introduce our "Mermaid" studio!
This studio is a private, compact, above-garage guest suite, with a private entrance upstairs from the (shared with our family) backyard. The Mermaid suite is ideal for a couple, features a King bed! Guests have their own sitting area on the deck and are welcome to share with us the underground pool. Easy, ample free parking. Breathtaking pine forest outdoor views. Free wi-fi, Netflix, Hulu apps on smart TV included!
Our home is located on the 2.5 acres of quiet and relaxed woody-side of St Augustine surrounded by natural spaces on SR-207, within a short drive of I-95. It is also conveniently close to all of St Augustine's historical old town activities, trendy St Augustine Outlets and just minutes drive to our amazing beaches, shopping, and award-winning dining.

The Mermaid Suite is an entirely private studio with bath, comes with coffee/tea, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and portable electric burner. It is connected to the water softener/purifier, so you get clean water right out the faucet.

Easy, ample free parking. Breathtaking pine forest outdoor views. Comfortable bed with organic cotton linens, well-organized kitchenette, and all the small appliances you need for a comfortable stay. Free wi-fi, Netflix, Hulu apps on smart TV included!
Because you are sharing the backyard with owners and another unit, it is essential that guests respect others. House rules are enforced!
Guests share the pool and outdoor spaces with the host's family and another guest unit, but not the interior spaces! You can spend evenings outside on the porch, enjoy tranquility while sipping wine, and listen to singing birds.

Also, please note that we do not provide any personal AC controllers inside the unit. There is central AC for the whole house, controlled online by the host; it is set up for 72-74 degrees for summertime and 69-72 degrees for wintertime.

We have many scheduled weekly services like cleaning, landscaping, gardening, pest control, garbage disposal, and more. So, during your stay, the host or co-host and some technicians can come into your front yard or backyard for their duties. Please don't be scared of them, and let them keep the provided amenities in good shape. Unfortunately, we cannot tell the guests the exact time. Nobody will enter your unit without your permission.

We live on the property full time you'll likely see us out in the back yard hanging out, watering the plants or doing chores. And of course you will share with us pool and our big backyard.
We can interact as much or as little as you like.

Just minutes away, enjoy happy hour at Ice Plant Dining & Vintage Bar or pick up some fine items at Diane’s Natural Market. We’re confident that you’ll love the St. Augustine lifestyle. If you care to venture a bit further, you’ll have close access to I-95 for easy travel. Take a quick day trip to the city of Jacksonville just forty miles north.

So much better than a motel - I'd stay here again
This is a very peaceful place to stay. We spent our days in town and it was just wonderful to get back to this place every evening. You climb stairs to get into the place. We like being up, and stairs are not a problem for us, so it was great. As explained in the listing, it doesn't have a full kitchen, but you can make your coffee and heat stuff in the microwave. Dishes and silverware are all there (wash 'em in the bathroom sink, no kitchen sink). This is a great place for a couple to spend a week or two.

Safe Location To Stay
The Owners Live Below Rental So Always Available To Ask Them Your Questions. This Sized Studio Fits 2 Adults For About A Weekend But We Stayed 2 Weeks So Would Have Loved If They Had A Stove And Kitchen Sink. Heat Is Regulated By Owners So When It Got Colder At Night It Got Colder Inside But When I Told Owners Next Day Then Raised The Temperature .

Beautiful quiet retreat
There are stairs, in case anyone needed to know that. There are chairs on a deck at the top of the stairs to sit in and have your morning coffee. The only negative thing about this space that I found was having to clean any dishes in the only sink which is located inside the bathroom. I didn't use the pool though it looked inviting. It was perfect for me and accurately described.

The interior was nice it would be nice if someone clean the refrigerator and defrost the freezer since you couldn’t put anything in it the beautiful pool they represented was full of leaves and looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time the view from the room which they portrayed as beautiful was of a garage an old trailer, an old van, and a pile of construction debris at the end of the driveway definitely wouldn’t stay there

The place was just as described. We loved how it was a small space but didn't feel as such. Anytime I contacted the owner, he responded within minutes. The pool was a great attribute to the property. Loved coming back from the beach or town, and able to cool off in the pool. Everything we needed was available to us. The property was in a calming area. Enjoyed sitting on the deck at night and listening to nature. Our only complaint would be the bed. The center of the bed had a hump. Made it difficult to cuddle. All in all, I would definitely rent again!! Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

You will not be disappointed, if you are looking for a quite get a way with a pool or if you are looking for convenience to St Augustine. You are less than 10 miles from I-95 and even closer to downtown St Augustine. The humble FROG accouterments are beach themed and well thought. Parking is a breeze. Privacy is amazing. As mentioned you are close to everything. Great stay will Definitely keep this treasure for future visits.

My girlfriend and I stay here for the week of my daughters wedding and it was great! Not a bad location - and the place supper clean! It had everything that you needed. If anything I would ask that you all put lights on the stairs so you can see at might, and look into having a small sink in the kithchen area - just to pour stuff down and wash things. Other than that is was great - and I would stay here again, maybe this time we could enjoy the pool - oh and if you really wanted to - put in a hot tub that would have been really cool on those raniny nights! Perfect for our needs
This location was just right for our visit to St. Augustine... just a short drive to amazing beaches, historical sites, and nature reserve. Place was spotlessly clean and we loved relaxing on the deck in this lovely quiet setting. It worked great to prepare our own breakfast and take-along sack lunches each day, since there is a mini fridge and various small appliances. Would definitely stay again!

Hidden House Rules Troublesome for a Hidden Gem Accommodation
In a rural setting on the outskirts of St. Augustine, the studio apartment felt comfortable clean and welcoming. It's mermaid in the sea theme was cute. The drawback for us was the rules were sent to us with the confirmation and the tone was unwelcoming.. based on the owner's cancellation policy, it was too late to cancel. However, we did enjoy our stay once we were there. There was no water source in the kitchen. Nice appliances but, no sink. I don't wash dishes in a bathroom sink. So, we left them for the cleaners to do. I can't speak about the available outside pool. We didn't use it. It was too cool in January.
