CHARMING 2/2 COTTAGE JUST A SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH/PET FRIENDLY/ WIFI

Quaint and comfortable: 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom cottage available for rent for your vacation or get-away. Over 1100 sq. ft. of living area. Master bedroom has a queen size bed and a small flat screen tv. Guest bedroom has 2 twin beds. Each bedroom as it's own bath. Covered front porch, with a swing and porch furniture. As well as a private, screened in back porch that has a small dining table and chairs for your enjoyment. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, a coffee maker, dishes and flatware. All linens are provided as well as several beach towels.
The Cracker House is not your typical Florida beach house, a friend of ours from North Carolina, has said that it's a 'Mountain Home at the Beach". While the Cracker House is certainly not upscale, we think you will find it clean, comfortable, charming and in a very quite neighborhood, with friendly neighbors.
There are 2 grocery stores, just a short drive south on AIA, as well as numerous restaurants within walking distance from our cottage, to enjoy, if you don't feel like cooking.

Cozy home in perfect location

Really enjoyed the our two weeks stay. The cottage is well equipped and also dog friendly. The host was super responsive and effectively took care of a Comcast Internet issue right away. The short walk to a fabulous beach and great restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor spaces were greatly appreciated.

Awesome surf get away!

Brought my surfboard and the beach was super close! Great places in the neighborhood for shopping and food! Good neighborhood for cruising on a skateboard or bike! Would definitely stay again!

Excellent anniversary weekend!

Excellent location! Walk to beach (public area with bathrooms and shower) restaurants, shopping. Excellent restaurant choices - breakfast buffet, burgers, pasta, pizza, steak, seafood, bars, ice cream… This house was everything we needed.

The perfect getaway

Such a charming cottage! The neighborhood is very quiet even though it is only two blocks from the busy thoroughfare. Pat, the property host, was very pleasant. We highly recommend the Cracker Cottage!

Awesome Comfortable Cottage

The property was just as described. Cute quiet street close to the beach and restaurants. Our Host was in the horrible area of the mountains with all the flooding no power or anything and she still checked on us to make sure we were in and that everything was good. Wonderful Host and excellent property

Our getaway house

We love coming to this house, we very much enjoy the tranquility that we have also, just a few minutes in walking distance to the beach. Restaurants, ice cream shops and markets are super closer to the house, and you can walk to all of them. This cottage is our home away from our home.

Perfect Place for Pet Friendly Family

This is a perfect property for a pet friendly family and highly recommend to anyone, even without pets. The house was very clean and had all the amenities for our family's 9 day stay. It sits on a quiet block just across the Blvd and the beach, so also a great place for beach goers. The host, Pat, was very accommodating and even reached out during our stay for any additional needs. The price is more than fair for what you get and it's location. We visit SAB often and look forward to staying here again.

The location was walking distance to restaurants and the beach. We were fortunate to see the SpaceX satellite launch. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood.

Perfect location

We loved this cottage. It had everything we needed and was very clean. You will feel like you are staying in your own home. Location is absolutely perfect. The beach is at the end of the street. Multiple bars and restaurants within walking distance. We will be back! Pat was awesome to deal with. arauing in tour own home here

The Cracker House

This is the second year in a row we stayed at the Cracker house and we absolutely love it. Location to the beach location to stuff in town everything is great neighborhood is real quiet felt safe with my child and they allowed me to bring my dog!!! 100% recommend staying here!! Also the owners are suoer nice and responded to any questions i had.

Relaxing time!

Quaint cottage, just right for our stay. We appreciated that it was not the overdone "fish and shells" theme. Mostly quiet street, winter a great time to visit. We enjoyed the lush plantings and the fact we don't have to bring linens.Since there is a full size washer and dryer, we brought packed lightly! Thank you Pat for sharing your cottage!

Great location and amply stocked

Great, quiet location at the end of a no-outlet street 3 blocks from the beach. Easy to drive 2 blocks across A1A, park in a public lot, and then to carry beach things 1 more block and onto the beach. The house is amply stocked with all kitchen utensils and glasses/dishes, coffee maker with coffee, hygiene and detergent products. Very cozy and wonderfully decorated. We enjoyed our week here!

Perfect Beach Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. Our fun began as soon as the sun started to rise as we hurried toward the short walk to the beach. My dog is young and this was his first beach trip. He was happy but overwhelmed. Coming back and sitting on the back screened in porch, watching lizards jump back and forth on the beautiful plants was the perfect remedy. The house is truly comfortable and inviting. Easy check in. Great location.

Great house and great location

The house was beautiful inside and out. The landscaping around the house is incredible with many flowers and beautiful plants and trees. It is a small oasis. When we were at the house we spent most of our time on the back porch, deck or on the front porch. Lots of songbirds in the trees in the moring.The house is on a dead end street away from the busy main street which keeps the area area quiet. At the same time it is still a short walk to the beach and restaraunts and is a short drive or bike ride to the nearby state park.Historic Saint Augustine is also a short drive away. We hope to make it back to the area and woud rent this house again if it is availbale.

December Long Stay

We have just returned home from our 23 night stay at the Cracker House. It has a great location close to the beach, restaurants, groceries and attractions. The house itself is a time capsule from the 60s which gives it a funky vibe but means some modern comforts are lacking. Our long stay would have been improved with the addition of brighter lighting especially for reading, some firm, well constructed seating, a smart TV and a hotel quality mattress. Loved St Augustine in December and will recommend it to everyone.

Our Favorite Destination

Just came back from our second trip to St. Augustine Beach and second stay at this property and both times we have been so sad to leave because it is our favorite beach, favorite place to stay, and holds so many special memories. Pat is easy and excellent to work with. The location is so affordable and still an easy walk/bike ride to the beach. The house is clean and has had everything we’ve needed. Most importantly it is pet friendly and has allowed us to bring our dogs (one in 2018 and a different one in 2024) to enjoy the sea and sand. I want to tell everyone how great it is and to book now, but I also selfishly want it to stay available because I feel like St Augustine and this property is a place we will probably return to again one day!

Cottage Review

Very pleased with the property. Tastefully decorated living room and porch. Spacious, nice to have two bathrooms.Kitchen drawers could use replacing. Houses are close together so the neighbors can be heard if they are outside. Also, Next Door did landscaping half the time we were there, using heavy equipment like a backhoe leaf, blowers, etc.. I guess there’s nothing that the owner can do about that. Love the fact that it was so close to the beach. We were able to drive a car straight across A1A, park and walk to the beach just a few more feet. We would rent this house again. Very reasonable rate.

Felt like home

My husband and I were fairly comfortable in this rental and it was quite clean, well cared for, and had everything we needed. I loved the screened in porch off the back. The only draw back of it was the noise from the neighbors with their rather loud vehicles and the home remodel noise from the house next door which shook the house. The other noise was from the central air which you could hear in the master bedroom kick on and off. The location is great as it was just down from the beach. Overall for cleanliness, owner communication, location, and general comfort I would recommend.
