The Ponce St. Augustine Hotel

"This is the second time I stay here. The hotel is old but the rooms are kept very clean. This time I had a room in the very back, close to the train tracks which was a little noisy at times but not too bad. The TV didn’t have signal and we never called to figure out how to get it to work. The air conditioner made a weird noise and kept me up at night. The rooms in the back are also close to the water. As such, we saw a few very small crabs near the room and one was actually in our room. The best thing about the hotel is the restaurant. I always look forward to eating the very delicious Latin/Colombian cuisine. The staff were all very nice and they had cookies in the afternoons. Overall, I was happy with the cleanliness of the room."

"The property is beautiful and was an affordable and perfect option for a family of 5. It is situated on water and has a great view. The only downside is that there is no self parking and the valet is an extra fee and frustration. Other than that, it’s a great hotel for families!"

"The outside was very deceptive. It actually made us a little nervous and we thought we chose the wrong place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised once we came inside. The property was very updated with a chic vibe. The room we chose had a unique corner view glass window. It was a little smaller than we were used to, but it was only the two of us so we made it work. The room was also very close to the elevator which was a plus, but being right next to the ice machine was not the best choice and if I would've known I would have requested a different room. There were kids constantly playing in the area around the ice machine."
