Beautiful Summerhouse Condo Ocean & Intracoastal Views 3 Min Walk to the Beach!

Summerhouse Beach and Racquet Club is a wonderful vacation destination located on beautiful Saint Augustine Beach. The address of Summerhouse is 8550 A1A South, Saint Augustine, Florida. Besides having one of the greatest beaches on the east coast, Summerhouse has plenty of amenities to keep everyone in your family entertained. There are 2 tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, 2 basketball courts, 2 children's play areas, and 4 heated pools! Located inside our newly decorated clubhouse is a new fitness center!

Summerhouse is minutes from St. Augustine's historic community and near many exciting attractions. Within walking distance down the beach, is the Matanzas Inlet and bridge which offers excellent fishing. Also within walking distance is the Fort Matanzas National Monument, where you can explore the old fort by taking the FREE boat ride across the river. The Southeast Inracoastal Waterway park located across from Summerhouse offers a hiking trail through the coastal marsh environment adjacent to the Matanzas River.

Summerhouse offers something for everyone...whether your interests are just relaxing on the beach, hiking nearby nature trails, fishing the inlet from the shore🎣, or visiting the nearby historical sites.

Our beautiful condo has ocean and intracoastal views! Our condo is a townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. (Please keep in mind, that we have stairs going up to our unit and stairs inside our unit.) We also have a full-size washer and dryer in our unit. Our main living area is downstairs which includes a large flatscreen TV, our dining and kitchen area and also a half bathroom. Our beach condo is beautifully decorated and a happy place to be😊

Great spot for family

Quiet location very close to the beach. Very nice 2 bedroom condo. Loved the twin beds in one bedroom which is great for a family with children. The condo was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Good location with an easy drive to attractions like the Kennedy Space Center. Will definitely look at this place again if we make it back to the area.

Great beach getwaway

Our family had a wonderful weekend getaway at this condominium at Summerhouse. The host is super friendly, accessible, and responsive and the unit is cozy and comfortable with a heated pool just outside and the beach access only a couple minute walk from the unit. Property was very clean and had everything you need for your stay. Would definitely recommend.

A pleasant stay

Everything was clean and comfortable and our family had a great time. We were bummed that the pools were under maintenance, but still enjoyed the beach access and loved how close fort Matanzas was!

Great place to stay

This place is so nice, lovely and clean. Communication with Katrina was great. The Apartment is so much nicer than the pictures you can see. We will definitely try to çome back.

Great Location and Great Host

We’ve been going to St Augustine for 25 years. Summerhouse is a nice complex in a great location. We love the proximity to the Matanzas Inlet. We have stayed in the complex (one of our top 3 complexes) before, but not this unit. Katrina (owner) was great. She made the check in process a breeze. Communication was excellent. The unit was very clean and had everything needed. Will definitely look to stay in the unit again if available the next time we visit.

Didn't want to go home...

We have never felt so relaxed on a vacation as we did at the Summerhouse Condos. The condo was exactly as stated on the website, the owner is beyond helpful and the location of the condo is steps away from the pool and ocean. A great week away! We didn't want to leave. Looking forward to our return visit!! =)

Beach and pickleball fun

Enjoyed our stay in this great townhouse. We had a little view of the ocean from the balcony which had great furniture to just seat and enjoy the ocean breeze. Loved having the pickleball courts right out front very convenient for a morning game. There are lots of steps involved but did not affect our stay just be sure to take into consideration for those in your party if renting

AMAZING!!!

This was a get away adventure for two very busy friends who just needed gal time. Several days anfter I booked ann unexpected death of a family memeber, followed by a child in a major car accident! This vaca turned out to be more than what was needed!! The owners were so kind and so precious! This place was comfy, just a walk to the beach and that was what the soul needed!! This will be a get a way place forever! Quiet, comfy, clean just absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much for everything

Beautiful Beach Chilly Weather

Few hand towels and washcloths stained. Bathroom rugs were not nonskid.Top bracket for handrail on staircase was loose from wall. Couch cover was stained. Owner did come over on first night to remove a dead battery in smoke detector to stop the steady chirping. Great location to beach.

We had a great time in August. We loved the walking distance to the wonderful beach that was never crowded. The stairs did not bother our toddlers. Yes, as other reviewers mentioned, the condo was not within any walkable distance to anything other than the beach and pool, but it was August and it was not the time for strolls anyway. Do your research prior to coming and there will be no problem at all on how to entertain yourself. I wish the renters took better care of the offered cookware – all of it had been scratched with metal utensils. It would be also nice to have cotton bedding instead of microfiber or cotton blend. After we figured out the lock, we didn’t have any problems or questions for the owners, everything worked great. I am not giving 5 stars because my little one developed a cough when he was in the bedroom that intensified towards the week's end and disappeared a few days after we left.

Katrina was a wonderful host. Condo had everything we needed for great times at the beach...chairs, umbrella, towels, etc. Kitchen well stocked with dinnerware n cookware. Beach is a very short walk and is one of our all time favorites. 20 to 25 minutes to historical St. Augustine which is so fun. Be sure to try The Columbia and Harrys for dinner.
