We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. Such a peaceful place, with a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, restaurants and the famous orchard at Altapass.
Located in a great location to hiking trails and awesome waterfalls! Fully stocked kitchen and a grill made it nice to cook meals. Clean and cozy to stay in!
This is a beautiful finished cabin in a great location for exploring a delightful part of the country. It is very comfortable and well appointed for a couple or a family of four. The only challenge we had was finding it on a dark night.
My husband and I stayed over Labor Day weekend 2024. Also, we brought along our little Shih Tzu. the location was back in the woods so it was very quiet and it was just a very short drive to resturants and attractions. We would recommend this place to couples with pets.
Everything you need is there! Bed was comfortable, WiFi was dependable, close enough to get what you need for supplies. Cabin was clean and cozy, we had warm weather for the first 2 days and then the cold front came in and it was spitting snow when we left. Would recommend this place and would stay here again.
It was the absolute perfect place. Cabin with beautiful deck and porch to enjoy the mountain air, pet friendly letting me bring my dogs, clean and comfortable. Can’t praise enough. Wonderful communication from hosts. Will definitely book again! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!
This log home is beautiful, cozy, comfortable beds, well stocked, and in a gorgeous location. It was one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. We cooked elaborate meals and had every kitchen item we needed at our fingertips.
The home is on the mountain, Spruce Pine NC, very very close to gem mines, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway with its lovely overlooks and quaint villages. We highly recommend this home to others.
10 stars!!! We loved it, so cozy and peaceful, we stayed for my husbands birthday and also New Year’s Eve , we never stayed in a cabin before or even been to NC and it was beautiful! Bob and Judy answered our questions and so so very kind always. Highly recommended ! If you like to hike, see waterfalls or just be cozy with hot chocolate , this is the place to stay.
This cabin is just perfect for someone seeking a pristine and relaxing getaway. The cabin is clean and incredibly well stocked, having everything you would possibly need. The front porch is charming and the back porch provides a feel of being far away from the workaday world. We enjoyed that, although the cabin is remote and private, it is still close to places you would want to visit on day trips. Little Switzerland, Spruce Pine and Mount Mitchell are within easy reach for a meal out or hiking. Kudos to the owners for maintaining this cabin well and providing such a respite for their guests.
The Cabin is secluded, but close to Spruce Pine and Little Switzerland. There was no internet or cable on our visit, which was disappointing, as we had hoped to cuddle up and watch Christmas movies. There isn't central heat, it's a split unit, and I didn't feel like it was as warm as the degree it was set on; however, overall, we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bathroom had many items you may have forgotten.
We had booked this cabin vacation over a year ago with the idea we’d be riding our motorcycle around the area. Well some health issue prevented us from riding our motorcycle, but we made the best of it riding in the car in this beautiful area. I don’t think we could have asked for a better week.
We were in town visiting family and Bob and Judy were so welcoming. They were having trouble with the cable and were nice enough to let us know in advance and even offered to reschedule our stay. This meant a lot because I’ve stayed in other places where the owners were not open or forth coming if something wasn’t working. At one point during the stay, I locked myself out and they were so helpful and quickly got me back in. The cabin was exactly what we wanted. It was comfortable and the location was nice for us because we could quickly get to Spruce Pine. My 2 favorite features of the property were the porch and the heater in the bathroom. We loved being able to sit on the porch with our dogs. It was cold during our visit so the having a heater in the bathroom when I got out of the shower was so nice. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit.
What a gem this cabin is!!
If you’re looking for a very clean, well stocked, beautiful Vrbo home for respite in the mountains of NC, look no further.
My friend and I enjoyed several days of bliss in this well kept, beautiful, solidly built, stunning house.
We loved every minute in its cozy cedar walls. Great care for comfort, and thoughtful details were provided by the amazing hosts in every precious corner of this sturdy, gorgeous house.
The porch out front and out back, only extend the fabulous living quarters of this prize vacation home tucked into the mountains.
Just book it… you won’t regret it. You’ll only reap the benefits of having joyful, fond memories of staying in this sweet abode.
Sincerely,
Happy Camper
If you are looking for clean, quiet, and Gods peace, this is it!
This cabin is much, much more than what is seen from the exterior, or even the interior pics. Absolutely spotless, well kept, well insulated, well hidden from any passersby (because there aren’t any, ha!). Instructions are clear as to basic knowledge needed while staying, laundry, trash, remote use for ac/heat, key placement, etc. Plenty of books on hand to read, if you didn’t bring any. Went into town for some meals, and found the Tropical Grill a winner! The owners of the cabin also keep on display, several books/binders of comments from those who have stayed over the years. Indeed, plenty to do in the great outdoors of the mountains in western North Carolina, with an endless supply of destinations to visit. The hosts make themselves easily accessible, and that in and of itself was a comforting feeling. If you are a couple (husband/wife), the most difficult decision was, do we sleep upstairs or downstairs!
Just go!
When the mountains are calling, staying at Bob and Judy’s comfortable cabin is the perfect place for resting and relaxing after hitting the trails in any of the mountain parks or chasing waterfalls. We stayed 2 weeks and still did not see all the points of interest in this area. Most of them are assessable from the scenic Blue Ridge parkway with the most breathtaking view’s especially to us NJ people. All were beautiful but our favorites were Crabtree Falls and Grandfather Mountain. Restaurants, Ingles grocery store and a Walmart only a few miles from the cabin.
Bob and Judy put a lot of thought in building this cabin. It was comfortable for 3 adults and our dog. Our son used the loft area which was ideal for him. We mostly used AC which worked well or opened the windows . TV channel selection good. Cell phone service was not reliable but WiFi was fine. Kitchen adequate in appliances and cookware, dishes, etc. & convenient to have a dishwasher, washer and dryer. Only complaint was our mattress in main bedroom was sagging. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch every morning as we planned our outings. We had no issues but it was nice to know our hosts were nearby. Bob gave us lots of tips on the area.
Thanks for letting us stay at your cabin in Spruce Pine!
